really, I think it just speaks to how well they can create, even on auto-pilot.

 

I’ve grown to really enjoy Invented, but ever song is structured the same IIRC.

In Zach's interview they talk about the Stay On My Side Tonight EP a lot so I'm revisiting it. The extended bridge in Closer is a one of many god-tier moments in their catalog.

 

More like verse, chorus, verse, chorus, instrumental bridge (almost all guitar solos), chorus.

Which isn’t a bad thing on its own. But it stuck out to me on early listens that it never deviates from that IIRC.

I feel like Thrice is going through similar situation on wanting to take their time instead of forcing an album every 2- 3 years. My favorite Jimmy albums were Chase this light and prior but i'm excited to see what they have been inspired to write.

 

if they were on autopilot writing the title track of Invented then this is gonna be the greatest album of all time
