I took your lead and DM’d them - got straight back to me apologising for not replying to my numerous other messages. Basically said they don’t know about EU distro (I was asking about the UK variant that hasn’t been fulfilled) but fingers crossed they’re actually TRYIG to sort this whole mess

Agreed. I’d recommend screenshotting the original listing in your complaint/refund email to explain why you’d want to return it.
