Uhhhh guys. Just got the thrice beggars lp with the “original cover”

 

Just had a great little post punk vinyl delivery!

The Sound - Jeopardy

I've been looking for this Sound album for sooo long, but it's always a billion dollars. I saw that it just got a new remaster, so I jumped on the pre-order immediately. So stoked to finally own this!

is yours also the originally released cover and not the alternate nixed artwork?

 

Was the one you got wrong? Which cover is it supposed to be? I don't remember what it looks like

 

I think the one that they posted is wrong and is supposed to look like this guy: Beggars Vinyl - Vagrant 25th Anniversary Variant

 

yeah it’s supposed to have been this one based on the mark up. Gonna be really pissed if they never intended to have that cover on it and it was just an “error” or something. Already emailed customer support asking for a refund if that’s the case.

a lot of people on here (including myself) seemingly made an overpriced purchase for the cover. So….

 

Yeah, I’ll fucking riot if this ends up going sideways.

It was bad enough losing out that cover in 2009. Don’t make me do this twice.

the variant was the same as the 25th anniversary press from a couple years ago (and is advertised as such). it doesn't say anything about a different cover. but yeah obviously the mock up would lead you to believe... i kind of figured this would be the case and didn't feel the need to order for that reason.

 

I got the old one, too. Shit. Emailing them now.

 

Ah for fuck’s sake.

 

They sold out, which only happened because people thought they were buying the OG cover. This is gonna be a disaster for them.

 

Yep, that's a bad bad look from Vagrant on this one.

 

At least the Phoenix Sessions vinyl showed up without any issues today, too.

 

First, Vagrant cursed us with those 10” monstrosities. And now this?!

 

Speaking of disasters, on the NFG/DTR debacle front (if you ordered from UO). DTR just got back to me. Convo included

 

They're going to mail you new jackets with that same art and the new "Beggars: Revisited" title.

 

Still waiting on a response from the last part.
