Was thrilled to spin the Across The Universe vinyl this morning!

 

I saw IVC are doing Dr. Octagon – “Dr. Octagonecologyst” in January. Might need to grab that one.

 

New album from The Cure is so good. Need to grab it on wax. I've been trying to avoid it because then my brain will tell me I need all of their albums on vinyl. It's the completionist in me, try to make me go broke.

 

this album surprised me at how good it is. Top 3 AOTY for me. Still not sure I want to drop $40 on it though, especially since its a 2xLP. The album flows so beautifully that I don't want to keep flipping and ruin the momentum

 

the other day i realized i'm missing TGUK's Guilt Show in my collection. picked that up with a few other records too.

got 'is this thing cursed' from AK3 and 'the fire' from senses fail for 27$ shipped.

 

I'm sure this has been posted somewhere already but I am looking for recommendations on upgrading my turntable. My collection has gotten big enough that I can justify it, and the one I have now is one of those 'all in one' record players that look nice but, because the speaker is housed within it, if I crank the volume the record skips lol.

Is there any chance someone could point me towards a good 'middle of the road' turntable that I could also plug external speakers into? Thanks!

same. Upgraded the needle to ortofon blue and it’s rocking

 

I've just been using the needle it came with, maybe it's time to upgrade

 

I'm glad I already have most of the ones I'd want from the last time they ran this sale.

 

I use a Sony PSLX310-BT because it's got a built in preamp for external speakers and supports bluetooth if you wanted to go wireless speakers.

 

Haven’t bought a record online in months but I had to break the self control and get mayday parade valdosta. Terrible Things is a top 10 mayday song for me.
Still mad my cd copy years ago disappeared

 

It won’t show my cart for some reason. So I can’t checkout. Weird.

I just spent $90 on six albums in the Polyvinyl sale. I obviously have very little self control right now and don't need you whispering in my ear

 

I haven't even attempted to collect DBC albums yet. Really sucks they never released a 20th anniversary edition for AMAMABAS.

 

I have a Technics SL1200 MK3 with an Audio Technica VM95ML cartridge. I’m incredibly happy with the combo and I would recommend the Technics SL1200 especially to anyone looking for a turntable upgrade if you can swing it. got mine for around $450 shipped from a Japanese shop on eBay.

 

I had one in my cart but $40 shipped for that one was too much I think. I’ll probably regret that later

 

I also have the LP60XBT. It’s done me well the past couple years.

 

i'll vouch for the AT-LP60XBT as well. i personally haven't owned one (i have the AT-LP120XBT), but my sister has it and it's solid re: sound quality.

 

I have an Insignia, it's the Best Buy brand but it has an Audio Technica needle. it's actually my third, my previous one was a Crosley suitcase. I don't think I'll be upgrading anytime soon

 

I started with an AT LP60 in 2011 but a few years later upgraded to a Technics SL1200 with a Shure M97XE cartridge. Then in 2022 I upgraded the stylus to a Jico SAS and that made a world of difference.
