I think there’s a community note on the og post pointing out that you have to select the party on the left side there (I assume as an extra layer of confirmation that you want to vote for that candidate?), so if you click Democratic Party on the left, it’s not gonna let you pick Trump on the right, and vice versa

yeah, I don't think he "misspoke" in the sense that he didn't mean to call all of them garbage and accidentally did - I think he mumbled a little bit and garbled some stuff up, because he kinda just has trouble speaking sometimes, but said what he meant to say, and then when all of the fake outrage hit his handlers and everyone freaked and wanted him to walk it back

honestly, the whole thing is so dumb but also perfectly illustrates how Biden / the Dems can't just take a W and have to condescendingly lecture me about what Biden said and didn't say even though I can watch the tape and hear him myself, so they turn the whole thing into an unforced error type situation

I realize I'm late to this, but I'm interested why this is a bad thing. My mom, who was a teacher, wants this to pass because she wants to know what affiliation potential candidates have so she knows who not to vote for.

It says you need to tap the candidate’s name, not the checkbox, which is really bad design and not the way checkboxes work.
