If Charlie puth doesn't use this record to get himself a remix feature then he has no hustle and doesn't deserve to be bigger!

Most of his solo work that makes it to radio is mid but he's definitely a strong songwriter.

I still have no idea who he is and if I've heard any of his songs I wouldn't know they were him

Yeah that’s him on the chorus with Wiz Khalifa doing the verses.

I just went to YouTube to see what other hits of his I could think of and We Don't Talk Anymore has 3.1 BILLION views?!

One Call Away (833m), Marvin Gaye (731m), Attention (1.5b)...

Taylor, I think Charlie Puth is a bigger artist than you think he is. (Admittedly, he just hasn't had a hit in awhile...)

I'm pretty sure I saw Charlie Puth once because someone asked me to go, and I have like no memory of the concert (and I was sober for it lol). Just didn't leave an impression.

I would say his level of fame is deserved for his output. It's not my cup of tea but get why he has those kind of views.

I enjoy a few of his singles like How Long and Attention but I've never really been inclined to listen to full albums from him.

I do know however that he graduated from Berklee college of music and has a degree in production or engineering, or something. So at the very least, I assume he has a pretty heavy hand in his production which is cool for a pop star

This album is definitely working for me more as two separate albums. I think I prefer the first, but I like the second a lot more when I'm not listening to a song like the Prophecy as the 26th song on an album.

the full album that those 2 songs are from is pretty decent/fun. I don’t like anything else he’s done though haha

agree with this. despite the few cringey moments on Voicenotes (the James Taylor duet, the closing track), there were some solid production choices on that record. i also have somewhat of a soft spot for his song Cheating On You. other than that, the rest of his output is just boring.

He used to do tiktoks where he'd hear a cool or interesting noise or have a whisper of an idea in his head and then show his process if turning it into a song or beat. Maybe he still does idk he doesn't show up on my page much anymore. I feel like he's someone who is talented and he apparently has perfect pitch too and a vast knowledge of music but he doesn't seem to use that knowledge or talent to have an interesting or strong creative vision. So I can see how one might feel he should be bigger given the level of talent he has but I feel like there's a legit reason he's not. He doesn't really have a standout musical identity

Or it was like a drunk rambling said one time and I've thought about it far more than Matty or taylor ever has lol

Nowhere else to put this, but my wife ordered the TTPD cardigan and the patches are upside down.

The patch on mine is fine, but the quality is pretty bad and I have no hope that it's going to hold up for long

idk why people keep getting the cardigans. all I ever hear is issues about them

I got my wife the very first cardigan and it's lovely, but that's all I can speak for

I wear cardigans a lot because I'm always cold at work, and I didn't think it would be THAT bad :-|

    Things have changed.

My only contribution to the Charlie Puth conversation is I still can't believe he chose this photo, where he looks like he's squeezing out a giant turd, for his album cover:
