Presidential pardons are so strange in and of themselves. The only ones that don't seem kingly are when they do the jokey turkey ones, but those are fucking sick and twisted for a whole different set of reasons.

I know that there was no way that Biden was not going to pardon his son, and as a father I even get it, but he could soften the blow and make it seem less gross by going on a goddamned fucking pardoning spree and just smashing the record for number of pardons ever done before.

I do realize that this is just another one of those things where I say "Biden should _________ " and then fill in some thing that I want him to do or wish that he would do when he is in fact arguably one of the most powerful humans on the planet and he does exactly what he fucking wants to.

Gas has been $2.65-$2.75 around me for months now, very grateful about that haha

 

they started giving me free gas as soon as trump won the election

Oh my god. God this world is so stupid. Stupid, stupid world.

 

The gas tax was expunged here and gas went up I think $0.31/Gallon and everyone was freaking out like 'go fill up now while it's cheap!

I probably put 10 gallons of gas in every 6 days, I have about a 45 mile round trip commute with heavy traffic.

365 / 6 = 61 fill ups a year, or 610 gallons. That means, $189 extra in gas a year... In the case of the above, it was not worth to go out of my way to save $3.10 on one tank of gas either.

I get it's often a measure of other things for the economy, but I know so many people who act like gas going up 10-15% is financial ruin (and I know it's not for them). Nobody wants to pay more for anything, and it's all cumulative but I feel like the amount of gas the average person buys, compared to how much they care about gas price fluctuations, aren't proportional or rational.

 

The two Midwest guys are the only real contenders that I think the DNC should be even looking at but with their track record it will be someone from the East Coast.
