I think there will definitely be some surprises still, at least I hope so. I just think they're going for a more consistent vibe this time rather than the eclectic mix they had on S/T.

    Both videos are super cool.

Hard Times was stuck in my head after one listen, I still don't know how Told You So goes after multiple listens.

Not a gauge at how good a song is at all, but definitely a fact for me

They've both been stuck in my head but Hard Times was honestly difficult to get out for like a few days.

Friday is my worst night at work and I'm pretty much making it through by remembering it's the last friday with no new Paramore.

Track lengths are up. Album comes in at 42:31, second in length behind S/T.

All songs right between 3 and 4 minutes other than the closer

I still want to know if Aaron Weiss is actually involved in "Idle Worship" somehow. If there was a feature that would be the raddest thing ever.

    I do not exist.

I'd love to hear some vocals but I'm telling myself it will be an instrument so I'm not disappointed!

I'd be very down with some accordion.

Hey man, we all can't be like you Supporter

Accordion seems likely, now that I think about it.

Also: as far as Hard Times v Told you so, I think Hard Times is the better overall single, but I find the verses of told you so to be extremely catchy. Love those vocal samples.

    Blistering Guitar Lead

the more I listen to it the more dead on @cwhit was with the Two Door vibes in Told You So specifically in the guitar lines of the chorus

    ...

I'm a sucker for happy music + sad lyrics so I couldn't be more exited for this album to come out, bring it on

Also, this might be my favorite paramore lineup so far, feels very cohesive. I hope this album is successful for them

I could never get into the self titled. I LOVED 1/3 of the album, but as a whole I couldn't get into it. Paramore has been one of my favorite bands for as long as I can remember, so I was bummed even after all this time it still hasn't clicked with me.
But so far, the two songs from the new album I've liked more than most of their entire discography. I cannot wait until Friday.
Love this band always and forever.

self-titled can be a good album if you remove like half of the album. they just threw so much on there for the sake of it and its so inconsistent. i find it impossible to listen to

I think almost every song on the self titled is fantastic.

    I don't think there's a single song off S/T I don't enjoy

These songs are hokey and hollow and there are many other bands that do this style much better. I think her talents are wasted here and it's hard to take what they are doing very seriously. I feel like I'm on earth 2 or something compared to everyone else. Oh well.

I don't believe that to be the case. I love this style of music and a ton of bands that have a similar sound but for me these songs sound like them doing 80s karaoke.

Fair enough, the 1975 avatar lends some credence to that.
