I still love Tom. Don't care what anyone says.

 

If Tom pulls Travis away that means a new Trio record. I like this idea.

 

If it's Tom's typical 4 song EP then Travis can do all his drum recordings in a day. If it's a normal LP then it would take Travis a week.

I wonder if Tom and Travis ever went to that water park. Maybe that's what Tom is talking about in those Tweets.

 

I still do too for what he was, I may not like how he handles his current presence but he's doing his own thing that's respectable I can get behind that, but I don't like how he needlessly brings up Travis and old blink for promotion of his new stuff sometimes it's click bait.

Blink is my favorite band, and we had to go through Tom dragging it out for years with false promises and no music so I can get what you mean. That being said while I like trio a lot I'll take a new blink album any day. I understand what you mean though

 

I think Tom is gonna write whatever the fuck he wants and ultimately call it whatever he wants. If he said tomorrow that he was reviving BCR, I wouldn't expect it to sound anything like the first album. It would still probably sound like AVA but maybe just tuned down half a step and with some darker lyrics. And unfortunately I wouldn't be able to view it as anything other than a cash grab :(

I like Tom and just want him to be happy with whatever he does. I would support another BCR record.

 

I just think it sucks people make fun of someone they really don't know. I don't know, the Tom stuff in this thread is really unhealthy.

 

At least on my part it's all in good joking fun. Guy used to be basically a god to me as a teenager-young adult

 

It could be worse too, have you ever read the comments on a Blink post on Facebook? My god there are some nasty people aiming harsh words at both Tom but mainly Skiba for no reason.

 

Both get that treatment it's awful.

I think Tom was god to every teenager aha. I would try to dress like him in middle school.

 

You're right, BUT (and not that he deserves it because of this) Tom has been acting like the sour ex a lot (i could be back in seconds, they have him doing my job for me etc)

 

Same lol. I actually didn't stop looking up to him like that until the reunion when I could tell he was different when it came to blink. But he wants to do his own thing that's cool, and I am a believer in paranormal and extraterrestrials so I don't knock him for that passion. Plus his departure/descent into madness allowed me to get more into the awesomeness that is Matthew Skiba so I am ok with it lol

 

I do agree he doesn't help his own case by saying and doing stuff like that. He does act like a living click bait machine sometimes

 

I also think to him leaving Blink had a lot to do with him wanting to be around to be a dad. He seems so happy to actually get to do things with his son.

 

He may be our father, but he's his daddy!

Another thing I can respect. Again I always said I don't hate him for leaving or not respect his wants and passions; I just think he could have/can handle it better. Like the stuff Erwin pointed out, not needed and kind of puts Skiba down. We have enough Tombots doing that Tom himself doesn't have to chime in

 

I do usuall defend Tom but he does come across as bitter sometimes. Like this insta comment chain from like 2 days ago:


Saw Tom's reply but never saw what it was referring to (the annoying thing about insta replies) until literally just finding this screenshot. But tbf, you can argue for or against that he has every right to be bitter. That said, new BCR material would be great. Don't care how crap he sounds live, when his studio material is sometimes great.
