and just like that, im back to being completely calm. Conforto in the 3 hole, i like it.

 

That's my initial reaction to the signing. He came up last year and ended up playing some LF, so maybe at the MLB level they will end up putting him in the outfield? It's weird because you'd think if they had any intention on changing his position once he forces them to call him up again, they'd put him there now so he can get better at it... but I think it's also possible they don't want to keep him long term? He did have a pretty awful year last year, and then I don't think he had a great spring either... he's off to a hot start to the actual season, though. Who knows. Texas has a ton of good hitting prospects, I think they'll trade at least one of the top ones.

Don't worry about Gallo! If he hit's well enough, they'll find a role. Enjoy watching Beltre close out a HOF career.

 

I love Beltre. I don't really pay much attention to him but I like always knowing I can go look at his stats and he'll always be incredibly solid

RE: Beltre I think the most important thing for the FO(and me as a fan) is getting another HOFer in there. And that's more important than figuring out what to do with Gallo.

Now re: Gallo one of two things will happen. 1)He'll move to 1st or 2)he'll be used to get a Sale, Gray, etc type.

 

They Better include the one I posted a few pages back.

 

As awesome as Gallos power is, I don't think they should call him up until his discipline gets better anyway. Maybe in a year or two he becomes a better hitter, I doubt they trade him unless they're on the path of an impending monster playoff run.

 

His plate discipline in AAA has been much improved this year so far, if he keeps it up I'd think he'd be up in 2017. Oh I doubt they trade him for anything less than a Gray, Sale type but if one of those guys becomes available Rangers have the minor league depth to make it happen without completely depleting the farm.

Yankees offense reverted back to the end of last season's really fast. Chase Headley isn't even a major leaguer at this point.

I spent a good bit of today outside since it is so beautiful. The wind is blowing a little. It's perrrrrfect!

 

Surprised Arrieta was given a 4th AB in the bottom of the 8th, but not sent out to pitch the 9th. But I'm not too surprised since Jake can really hit.

I'm just so excited for Beltran, Teixeira, C.C. and A-Rod to all be off the books in 2 years. I like Tex (when he's healthy lol) but I'm ready for Bird to be over there next year. Hopefully. Jurickson Profar can attest to how a shoulder can screw things up.
