Nope. I downloaded Futures and Bleed American from JEW off BitTorrent and then a couple weeks later got a letter from a company representing them telling me to cease and desist and threatening lawsuit. Idk if my ISP turned me in or if I just happened to download files being tracked. Either way haven't done it since.

 

My ISP notified me after I downloaded a few movies and threatened to discontinue my internet. They had to come check mine and my roommates' computers for illegal files. After that I stopped downloading movies, but they have never said anything to me about music, comics, etc.

 

i'm ready for this damn deluxe version to leak. it's dumb that it comes out a week after Paramore's new one, and they just announced it like a week ago. haha.

Thats nuts. I remember a looooong time ago I got an email from comcast threatening to terminate services if I got got caught again. Tried downloading Knocked-up haha.

When I was in College, my neighbor was busted by the campus and RIAA for illegally downloading music. A few students were busted. THAT was crazy. She had to settle with paying $5k for the case to go away or pay like $100k per illegally downloaded song.

 

Argh, I remember when that was happening frequently. Pretty sure the RIAA knew that they could just scare people into giving them $5k by threatening to take them to court for more. There was a story of some mom who downloaded some pop songs and was sued for like $2m or something. Ridiculous.

 

I made it to :40... something about the skies to clear?

 

Most of the good torrent sites are dead but man, i never got anything. Thanks to netflix and apple music/ spotify, etc, I have no need to download anything anymore.

Never used them! I used Vuze which was a torrent client that you could preload a bunch of torrent sites to search on so i never knew what site i was pulling from, i just knew i could sort by seeds and reliability. Seems so archaic now. I remember when someone pitched Rdio to me. "It's like netflix for music!" and i was like "but i like owning my own music library..." what the fuck was I thinking? I think in the end, we're coming to a place where album art means something again with the resurgence of vinyl. This pop-up vinyl for the DLX has me stoked as fuck. I hope they put some additional liner notes and thank yous.

 

I tend to look at the positives that they have gotten better since announcing in 2009 that they would have a new album out and 2 years later we finally got Neighborhoods.

 

I bet it was the label wanting them to hold back until they got closer to summer/their big European tour. But they have been talking about the deluxe album/EP album since California dropped so it just makes it feel so much longer.

 

Wish Skiba still played this baby.
