Kevin Yoder in KS ended up voting Yes. Clinton won it by like 1.3. The Johnson County Democrats have already reached out to KCDSA for helping with canvasing and campaigning.

 

Really disappointed there wasn't a "Mission Accomplished" banner.

I dunno, I do think that's the "ruthless" move. The only move is to get Republicans to vote against it now in the Senate, so, you gotta let them know right from top-to-bottom their vote for it means they lose their job. (That should be part of our goal to convey as well.) And that if/when it comes back to the House, all these vulnerable members know the same ... that they are donzo if they vote for this. And you need to spin this to your base that one possible positive: now we can win back the House. Conceding defeat right now, I don't think works, people want the fight ... this is the, "fine, you dug your grave" move. Singing like you're 4th graders at a soccer game is pretty fucking stupid, but the message itself ... I do get.

 

Fuck Republicans who voted in favor, and fuck Democrats who fucking sang.

What is the reaction people wanted from Democrats? They spent weeks screaming, yelling, the speeches before the vote were scathing and harsh ... the statements afterward the same, the ads and money are already flowing ... there was a 4th grade version of "you're all fucking done" in the chamber itself (which woulda been a better chant to be honest) ... every single member votes no ... it seems exactly in line with the base's wishes.
