Bernie would have Won...ica?

 

alright I will concede that I love friends, do I lose any latino cred for this

 

Hillary and Trump are the same. Democrats and republicans are the same. Jill Stein and Hillary are the same. Nuance and crudity are the same. Jesus and the devil are the same. Chorus.FM and Spin are the same. Comcast and Time warner are the same. David and Jason are the same. And so on and so on.

 

But, seriously, unless you have a reading deficiency, no one has ever said Hillary and Trump were the same.

 

Yeah, I rewatched it when it got to Netflix and iirc there are only 3 non-white characters in that whole entire show. Paulo, Julie, Charlie. I definitely remember loving Rachel growing up but now really finding her annoying because of her basic white girl probs.

 

I can't put my finger on which one of these is true.

 

All I'm saying is, Martin and Living Single never got the send-off that Friends did. Those are the shows that shaped my life.

 

They were on a break!

 

There was a Friends quiz on Facebook and I got "black guy sitting in back of coffee shop staring angrily at the useless, petty bourgeois lifestyles of the friends".

 

As a suburban white kid, I watched plenty of Martin, Living Single, Hangin' With Mr. Cooper, The Parent 'Hood, Sister Sister, Family Matters, The Wayans Brothers, and Fresh Prince

 

Yeah those were the only regular ones I can remember off the top of my head. A bunch of one off characters but no real regulars besides those 3. One offs include Monica's co-worker in what I think was Season 1, the dance instructor for the musical Joey pretended he could dance for, the actor Joey helps get a part when he teaches an acting class, a few others but none that I can recall ATM

 

I'm against the entire institution of signatures, so I can't agree that there are any good signature options

 

My signature back in the AP days was pretty good, though. I use it for my email signature at work:

Jason seems more interested in getting you guys to stop saying no one's saying that, I'm more interested in reiterating, over and over again, exactly how wrong that assertion is---I'm not even entertaining the fake news that no one has been saying that.

To be fair to, Jason seems interested in that part too...but I care much less about the admitting it thing lol
