I like Radiohead a lot, but don't know enough about the deeper intricacies of their history as to speculate what REM could refer to besides an unreleased song title?

    "rapid eye movement"?

    standard cryptic radiohead teaser phrases

Michael Stipe was a mentor for Thom during the OKC era, if I'm remembering correctly. That probably means nothing, but it's a nice coincidence anyways.

A basement session would be cool and all but an actual tour would be a million times better

I'd be surprised it was a tour considering they just wrapped up a North American leg and already have dates set for Europe. Plus, considering how they switch it up every night, they'd probably get really bored playing all of OKC every night. I'd guess a one-off OKC show at Glastonbury and a re-release.

There's like 0 chance of me ever being able to see this band live so I don't really care if it's a tour tbh. Don't wanna take that enjoyment from anyone else tho so how about I hope it's

If they played OK Computer at Glastonbury I'd probably take out a loan tbh

Listening to In Rainbows rn. It's so gorgeous and perfectly concieved it's crazy. I'm pretty sure it's their best album for me now. I changed my mind. They were neck and neck before.

I still think Pyramid Song is my favorite song of theirs tho. And Knives Out too.

I used to think OK Computer was their best but now I honestly struggle to make it through the whole thing. Might have overplayed it or something idk. Part of why I want a From the Basement is bc I feel like watching the sessions for IR and KOL made me appreciate those albums way better and would love to watch them perform OKC.

At this point, In Rainbows is pretty easily my favorite.

I don't think I'll ever reach that point with OK Computer and I've been listening to it for nearly two decades haha.

You had me until Knives Out. Getting to see all of In Rainbows live at Lollapalooza '08 cemented how special that album is. Did drugs help enhance that? No question. But, that performance permanently changed my mind from considering Kid A or OK Computer as my favorite to IR.

My favorite song continues to change, but it's settled on Pyramid Song at the moment. How to Disappear, House of Cards, Weird Fishes, Kid A, Fake Plastic Trees, There, There, and Climbing Up the Walls round out the rest of the rotation.

I will say tho that I've been listening to Let Down a lot recently and finding a newfound love for that song. Maybe I should just revisit OKC.

Any particular live performance that stands out? The recorded version has never done much for me.

That's OK. Recorded version is best by far imo.

and when the bridge comes around the third off kilter guitar is so haunting
