  1. Ya man. Such a shit show. It's almost unbelievable because I'd never heard of it until today and even my most well of friends hadn't planned on going. Never thought I'd feel bad for 1%ers but shit this is BAAADDD. I worked an event in the Caribbean in 2009 and it was the most stressful time of my life. Fortunately we were put up in a 5 star resort so I was comfortable while losing years on my life. This sounds like an unimaginable disaster.

Really happy we're getting another new song before the album release. Really hope the full album doesn't leak early.

Funny thing as @TheJMan pointed out to me, there's a lot of people on twitter basking Blink for pulling out and saying it's because they need tom. If only they read those articles. Idiots

They were actually saying stuff like it's obvious now that Tom wasn't the problem with blink after all. Man the internet is a terrible place. If I were a celebrity I would probably avoid social media or never read any comments.

Nah I would still post on here, I would just make a fake user name and talk about how great I am and how great the band is.

Facebook has made me realize that it's not exactly the internet...it's people in real life lol. People just hear the smallest tidbit of information and think they have enough to confirm every suspicion they've ever had. Does not surprise me that blink cancels a single show and people start coming out of the woodwork to say that it's proof that Tom wasn't the problem.

Still think Parking Lot is better than anything on California. Sometimes I think actual fans of the band have the worst taste in the bands music.

I feel like a band like blink, no matter what they do fans will complain. Fans complained that California was too safe and they should experiment more and take more risks and when they release 6/8 people complain about it too. I don't get worked up over what anyone else thinks of music/bands/songs that I like, as long as I'm happy with it I'm good.

I don't find 6/8 to be all that risky :concerned:

glad other people are liking it though. I hope one of these new songs really pulls me in.

It's not risky. It's certainly different for the band but relatively generic and bland in terms of the style they're going for. It's cool to see them doing slightly different things, but like I said before I think at this point hooks and melodies are the thing that blink is somewhat decent at doing, and the new songs have been lacking in that department.

  19. "Risky" was "Fighting the Gravity."

New songs in terms of California or the 4 new ones from the Deluxe album?

Yeah maybe risky wasn't the right word I was looking for. Perhaps different would have been a better choice of words.

In terms of the record on a whole though... I don't think it was necessarily. It fit the vibe of the record.

    Heart's All Gone Interlude
    Fighting The Gravity

Those ones are the weirdest in Blink's catalog

    Los Angeles
    6/8

Those ones are the heaviest and most unlike "typical Blink" (whatever that really means) that they've done

Maybe Easy Target and Stockholm Syndrome could fit in the 'Heavy Vibe', even if they do still have a similar structure to the rest of their material.
