This is fucking amazing man, might be my favorite song yet, that chorus is infectious

 

Cue the story behind those lines being John saying "this song needs some personality", telling Matt to go in there and do something ~totally random~ and Matt screaming exactly what he said.

 

Are there anymore songs scheduled to release before may 19th?

 

6/8 is easily the best of the three released so far. Misery isn't bad. Musically, I enjoy Parking Lot. Lyrically, it makes me cringe a little bit.

i love california, all 16 tracks. but i haven't enjoyed any of the deluxe songs outside of kinda liking parking lot. bring on LP8 plzzz

 

I've loved it all. All of California and all of these deluxe songs so far. Still bring on LP8 but after I'm holding my copy of cali deluxe

 

The word "broken" being in every song is the new whoa!

 

The thing about these deluxe songs is that they don't feel as cohesive as the actual California to me, but they're not really meant to. Maybe I'll feel differently about it when the whole double album is together but yeah they're kind of all over the place right now. haha. I've enjoyed all of them quite a bit so far, but none of them really stack up to California IMO.

 

Yeah. They've only been good as bonus little treats.
If was a real album I'd be be bummed

 

Isn't that the point of a deluxe though, bonus treats? Me personally have loved it; I'd put misery and maybe even 6/8 up in the top California session songs for sure.

 

Definitely the point. But other people getting worked up like it's a full new LP about the quality of them. Not so much our forum but the news pages

 

Never could understand why. Probably the same people who comment on every one of their Facebook posts and write BRING BACK TOM in all caps like they're gonna go "Oh okay." Or something

 

I was not a big fan of Parking Lot or Misery, but this song is friggin great.

Really hope they play this at their Life is Beautiful set. I may be approaching 30 but I'll totally tear the pit up lol

 

Another lifeless song with hints of interesting musicianship from Travis and Matt. The lyrics are terrible. The chorus is boring. Matts yelling in the background is too low in the mix. Like, they are scared of actually having yelling in their pop song.

 

I like the song...I really like Matt's screaming but I wish his lyrics were better.."this song needs some personality"..meh.....I'm glad you can't understand them haha, I wonder what he's saying at the end of the song? My favorite part of the song is when the song speeds up a little bit and Mark starts to sing "I just want to find a car to over turn, I just want to light a fire and watch it burn"...

 

I specifically listened for the first time to this new song without looking at the lyric video because I know that would make me like the song less. It worked! Sounded pretty good when I wasn't focusing on the lyrics

 

Jesus christ has anyone been reading whats going on with Fyre festival? No wonder Blink cancelled, this thing sounds like an absolute disaster. I feel bad for everyone who is already there.
