lol i am v weirdly attracted to how bizarre this song is

 

First listen and I liked it... until the chorus. YIKES.

 

Song is okay. Cover = The 1975 + Hotline Bling.

 

The numbered track list names on Itunes makes me think the album is not done. Makes sense if the album doesn't come out for awhile.

New song is....well...interesting. Interested to see how they pull it off live. I see this song being featured in movies and tv shows too.

 

iTunes always does that when the artist doesn't want the track titles revealed

 

I really enjoy the cover art.

I am going to spend some time with the song, but I appreciate any band trying to take risks and get weird / push boundaries.

 

September fucking 15th? Remind me to check back in in 4-and-a-half months bc honestly fuck hearing an album track this early out of context. Not here for it. I'd understand if it was a stopgap single but just... what???

My how things have changed in the past ten years. Hahah. People don't want early music now, if you had told me this in 2002, I woulda never believed it.

 

Well, certainly can't say it sounds like anything off the last two albums.

Good on the band for changing it up all the time - but I think this is where they jump right out of my wheelhouse. Personally found that breakdown/drop/whatever it was to be painful.

 

These reactions have me VERY intrigued haha... looks like my predictions of them doing something pretty different were right! I can't listen right now because I'm out :(

 

That high voice change thing in the chorus.... laughed out loud.

 

It hit my ear funny but then I thought I sort of understood maybe artistically what they were going for... more of a feeling than something I could put into words

Reminds me a lot of Radioactive by Imagine Dragons, and not in a good way

 

I really like it. Excited to hear the full album.

Hahaha wow I love this to be honest. So much fun and so weird. I love the boundary pushing, but it's definitely going to be the jumping off point for a lot of fans who were already not thrilled with the last 2.

I don't really understand why people are so confused by the album not coming out until September.

That's almost the exact same amount of time. I'm sure they're hoping to make a push for this as a summer single, hoping it'll be a hit by the time the album comes out.
