Definitely one of my favorites of theirs. I think it's the epitome of their "dark punk" sound, for lack of a better term.

Asian Man always has great prices. You gotta get it if you haven't already!

I just did haha. It's a random picking so I'll probably just end up with the black one haha.

  5. I always thought Dan outshined Matt on MICF.

I think Matt has some underrated cuts on MICF. He's got the classics Fuck You Aurora and Radio, but I think Keep Em Coming, Madam Me, Sleepyhead and Tuck Me In are fantastic. Damn that's a great album.

Keep Em Coming is great! Dan wins that album for me though. You've Got So Far to Go is probs top 5 Trio.

Keep em Coming is a top 5 trio song for me. Wish they played it live

Not sure if's been covered in this thread, but there's a pretty funny blurb in Laura Jane Grace's book about how she pissed off / embarassed Alk3 by calling out their hidden guitar player behind the amps during their live shows back around the Good Mourning era. I wonder what other bands do that.

    No Fun. Not Ever.

Haha, I just got done reading it too and I laughed at that part.

NFG do it slightly less hidden (though it's their tech that also does synth; he would also do guitar even when they had Steve)
blink I think did it pre-hiatus
All Time Low's manager does it and also does harmonies (or at least used to)

tbh I don't think it's really a big deal. It's just an offstage version of Jason White in Green Day (except for those 3-4 years he was considered a full member)

  15. It's not a big deal, it just makes the songs sounder bigger.

I just think it's a bit weird to have then hidden. Having a touring member to support the sound isn't a big deal, but hiding them is deceptive.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I don't think it's as much of a deal as keeping them "hidden" as it is having more space at the front of the stage

Idk why they hide them... but I prefer that over a playback track any day. Haha.

If it were Blink, I'd prefer a hidden guitarist over the playback or touring member though.

Green Day just never gave a shit. So I guess they did it right haha

Yeah I guess back then it was seen as more nefarious, but I feel like bands have those guys all the time now. They're still "hidden", just not as much as they used to.

That guy if I'm not mistaken was Nolan and he wrote/recorded the lead guitar on Sadie for the BYO split.

the ships have all sailed to the sea

Yeah Nolan is/was Matt's guitar tech and he would play live with them on the Crimson songs back then.

Listening to Trio today, and really miss them. I love Blink, and no one deserves the money and success more than Matt...but mann its been too long for Trio stuff. I hope they can work something out sometime soon.

He's awesome solo. Played a good mix of Trio and ER songs. If you get up front you can make some requests, he played two songs for me and my gf in Amityville

That's awesome, man! What songs did you request?

Would you also happen to know if he's selling Party Adjacent on vinyl and how much that might be?

IIRC, they had a lot of Party Adjacent vinyl at the table, only had one or two copies of Hurricane Season. The T shirt is awesome, IMO, def be prepared to want to buy it haha. Don't remember what the vinyl was selling for, unfortunately.

He made the mistake of saying he didn't have a set list and people should yell songs, so of course the whole crowd started screaming and he got a little annoyed haha. But then people sporadically yelled stuff and we were right up front so we asked for Waiting By Myself, which he was SUPER excited/happy to play, I don't think he thinks a lot of fans know that one, and he pointed at us and said it was for us haha. And when we said Broken Wing he said "yeah that''s coming" and he pointed at us for that one too and was liek "this is for you guys too" lol. We said hello after the show and he said "thanks that was awesome", I assume talking about Waiting By Myself being requested.

He also thanked me right at the end of the bridge of Waiting By Myself because I sang Dave Hause' harmony pretty loudly and he heard it and snuck in a "thanks" right at the end of that part haha
