I really like Creep

 

Main Street Records in Manayunk kills it., and there's a new punk record shop right on Frankford in Fishtown.

 

I live a little over an hour away in Flying Hills (Berks Country). I need to go to the city more. I just never have a good excuse outside of seeing shows. Any other good excuses I could make?

 

Yeah, Berks County.

 

I'm really not a fan of UT. I'll go there if I absolutely love a band and can't see them anywhere else, but I'd much prefer a more intimate venue.

 

p sad that AKA kicked it. My favorite store is Long in the Tooth, but I don't think they do a lot for RSD.

 

looks like a good place to find gems from a quick search of it.

 

long in the tooth is great, but my day off happens to be the day they're closed. no bueno.

 

Yeah I always find good things there. Which is a blessing and a curse (for my bank account).

 

Creep is having one of the guys from Dr Dog DJ in the morning and then there's a show at night.

I love Philly! I'm happy to see a thread about my home. I bought a house with my wife last year and plan on being here for awhile!

With that said, I'm about to head out for RSD now. Going to Milkcrate and Creep. Maybe the new store Wild Mutation on Frankford.

 

Oh, and if you're around Creep around 8 pm they have a show and my friend's band is playing. They're pretty solid so you should all go!

They're called Pocket.

I believe Ben does play drums in that band. I really only know the other two, Jared & Evan.

 

Live in north Wilmington, de...about 25 mins south of Philly. I go to the city about once or twice a week, absolutely LOVE it.

 

to any of you who saw the into it over it show tonight at the TLA, apparently my rooommate was pulled onstage and everyone chanted "tyler! tyler! tyler!" for him. i desperately need some context.

 

The band pauses for a solid 15 seconds during Upstate Blues, Tyler made a comment about it and Evan heard, then Tyler said it was his 6th show of the tour so Evan pulled him on stage

 

hah oh boy, he's still on cloud nine. super funny

 

I'm moving here in like 2 weeks, tell me things!

late response but I felt bad for him at first. seemed really uncomfortable for him. glad to hear he doesn't hate IIOI now.
