Here's how I look at the price: On one hand, that's a shit ton of money for a vacation. On the other hand, it is for my birthday and I really haven't been on a real vacation since the last time I went there 20 years ago. Fuck it, I only live once and I might as well ring in the next decade of my life riding the Haunted Mansion a hundred times.

 

Last time I was in Orlando, I went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, and it's $135 a day for both parks... which is the ticket you have to buy to ride the Hogwarts Express. I think a single park was $109 for a day? That was two years ago now, so it's probably closer to $115 and $150, knowing Orlando.

Disney prices are usually $1 more than Universal, and the park-hopper tickets get absurd.

 

Yeah, that was a Sega machine. I've played one at a local arcade around here, it's fun but it can be infuriating to steer the damn thing.

 

A really good way to save a huge chunk of change is to not stay in a Disney resort. And if you get the right hotel in Kissimmee--there's a ballin' ass Marriott there--your Uber/Lyft there and back for the day is usually cheaper than parking and most hotels have free shuttles.

 

I kinda want to do Universal Studios too but man, I'd just get really depressed walking around there and seeing all the stuff that's gone now. Like I legit have this memory of that place in my head and I can remember where it all is. Plus, Nickelodeon Studios is gone, where will I get my slime?

 

Oooooooh good call on that, I'll have to consider that.

The only reason I even remotely wanna go back to Disney is when they drop a cool exclusive pop again and I love the pin trading.

 

That Violent Soho album is so much fun.

 

I'm just now reminded that I payed for a Lucio Pop figure in full and I should get it this week. Hell yes.

 

It's been twenty-two years since I've been to Epcot or Hollywood Studies. Never been to Animal Kingdom. It's been...13 years since Magic Kingdom? Feeling old af all of a sudden.

 

I honestly just want to do Magic Kingdom above all. Perhaps I could do what Garrett said and then I can do Universal too. Sea World can get bent.

 

I beat it. Woo

 

National parks make the best vacation destinations for me. A trip to one is usually much cheaper than other options too.

 

If you don't want your day to be chalked up to like 8 rides, get the fast pass. It's about 2hr investment to ride each ride.

I think if we saw in the year 2000 what it'd be like in 2017, we would be pissed. Nothing's changed except for cooler cellphones. That's pretty much it.
