Mahomes is the furthest away though, it would be a ridiculous reach to pick him that high just because he has a monster arm. If Palmer get some injured again and that's their 1st round pick they're screwed.

 

Pretending like we have any understanding of the right time to draft a player is stupid. There are a million different scenarios, Arizona could offer the pick to trade down and get no bites, Arizona could want him but know he'll go at the end of the first so they have to grab him early. Pretending like his position in the first is indicative of how talented he should be relative to other players in the first is stupid, if you want a player you grab the player, you don't always trade down and gamble that no one will pick who you want. Sure, it's an option, but there are limits to the successful possibilities that are actually available.

 

The ranting has nothing to do with me being a Mahomes supporter in any way, I'd say the same if it were Kizer and I do not like Kizer.

 

Also @Vanislh you're gutsy for including trades in your projection haha, it's so tough to figure out what trades entail that I refuse to use them in my own "prediction" even though they'll surely happen

 

Yeah but Hanging with Mahomes is a great fantasy team name. Kizer has a few but none as good as that.

Second to last night at Carrabbas. I'm bored. Might as well piss off everyone.

 

Deshaun is a big reason why Clemson became one of the best teams in the country. I don't see him as a first rounder, but this isn't really a fair knock on him as a player. That offense (and team as a whole) certainly takes a step back without him.

 

He's a big reason sure but he's a great college player. He also plays with ridiculously good college skill players.

 

Besides Mike Williams, who was ridiculously good? I like Wayne Gallman, but he's nothing special.

Watson had great success last year without Williams too.

What hurts him as a prospect is their scheme.

 

I guess not ridiculously good but still good at a college level.

 

I just think he could actually manage a game and be successful as opposed to the other guys who will look like dears in the headlights, doesn't mean he should have to start

 

Trubs, Watson, Kizer, and Mahomes should be sitting behind Palmer, Roeth, Manning, and Rivers.

He likely wasn't going until Friday but yeah....he's probably a late Day 3 guy now, if not UDFA.
