The only thing Blink has going for them at this point is crafting melodies and All Time Low has a double digit number of songs that are more interesting/better melodically than anything blink has made since Untitled. I'm nowhere near a huge fan of them and haven't listened to them for close to a decade, but they at least have that part of the songwriting process down pretty well

 

Yeah that's exactly the show I was talking about, it was at Mohegan Sun. It was definitely a weird vibe that night. It could also have been because Tom took a helicopter to the casino from NY since they had a show the day before and the day after. But I remember thinking it was weird Tom took a copper while Mark and Travis took a car and didn't travel together. I didn't think it was a bad show, I had fun, but yeah it was just different.

 

I didn't go to the reunion tour in 2009 but I went to the Neighborhoods tour in 2011 and Tom was great and acted like normal Tom. He slipped and fell down during WMAA and finished the song from the bridge to the end on his back playing and Mark and Tom went back and forth joking around about it. He randomly started playing "F- A Dog" during the set. He seemed like he was having fun and wanted to be there.

But yeah in 2013 it was like he was glued to one spot the whole night, made one joke, and asked the crowd if they liked TBS who played before them and that was it.

 

At the Mansfield, MA date of the Neighborhoods tour I remember Tom talking about how he thought After Midnight was some of Mark's best writing, too.

 

In 2013 when I last saw them with Tom they played Apple Shampoo and Tom said it was one of his favorite Mark songs

 

I also remember seeing a youtube clip from their European tour where they would play old school songs acoustically and Tom said Going Away To College was his favorite Mark song. I really wish they would have done those 3 to 4 acoustic song sets to the US.

 

I was at the last Tom show in Vegas at Wine Amplified. I had a few adult beverages but it was one of the most fun shows I've been to. The guys seemed happy and like they were having fun too. Banter, jokes, etc.

 

Power pop garbage will fit better...if generic is lazy for you
But didn't want to hurt your feelings in the first place.

And you say this as a Blink fan? Lmao. The pedestal people put this band on, while trashing bands that also play pop rock whatever music, is absurd.

 

Yep, I say it as a blink fan. And it's just my opinion. And I don't like to trash bands much. I would rather not comment about them if I don't like their music.

 

Omg this. I never could figure out why people go onto threads, websites, message boards of bands (or even TV shows and what not) of things they DONT like. What does that accomplish? You aren't going to make someone have an epiphany and be like "My god this thing I am fond of actually DOES SUCK! What have I been doing?!" Lol.

 

Haven't been around for a week. Since the release of pregnant. What did I miss?

 

Nothing. At all. Except HISALP video being filmed and Travis saying Ak3 will record after European tour and before blink goes back into studio at year end, which is still the plan

I just got an email from the auditorium I was seeing blink at on the 27th that it's been rescheduled until September....this has got to be a mistake or a cruel joke

So far it isn't listed on their Facebook or twitter though....in literally praying this director of the amphitheater made an error here

 

Sounds like you'll be seeing them with Linkin Park on the Honda Civic tour, if that tour exists and it is the civic tour

 

Uggghhh :( Blink hasn't mentioned it on their medias yet though which is weird...and only six days before?? Could it maybe be an error on the auditoriums part
