I'm not sure, in the few live vids I've seen of them playing "Ballad", he sounds pretty good. I just assume playing it regularly would be hard. The live performances of "She's American" always sound like he's struggling vocally, and we never get the scream in "Robbers" anymore. It's crazy watching footage of them back in 2013 when he would nail the scream, but playing more shows than anyone else out there will probably ware you down haha. Plus, habitually smoking all sorts of stuff.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if Ballad is difficult for Matty to perform live just from a physical standpoint. Matty belts quite a bit in that song.

 

i have cousin in niagara falls and we both are huge the 1975 fans (he has an UGH! tattoo, i have a rectangle)....well anyways, im going to the 2 niagara falls dates officially. just squared away my flight and stuff. i just saw them in dallas but i cannot be tamed, ya know?? there was a girl i followed on tumblr who has seen them well over 30 or 40 times so in perspective....im not that bad.

 

yeah.. and they already lowered the key of it live when they were playing it. probably still too much for him.. especially considering he's had issues with losing his voice in the past

 

Didn't know they key change. Sucks. It's been one of my favorites off the album just so much content packed in a little bit of time.

 

Surprised no one said "Somebody Else", "Loving Someone", "I like it when you sleep..." for 3 song stretch. That's certainly mine

 

I wouldn't be able to separate title track from the Sound and feel good about it.

Somebody Else is a perfect song.

 

best song of 2016, hands down.

 

That first verse realllllly hits home. I mean it's a perfect song but that part really does it.

I'll always ride for "If I Believe You" as their best song. Can't imagine them ever topping it for me tbh. That solo.

Me is probs their best song imo, extremely powerful and vibey

 

Yep, that's my favorite song from them and one of my favorite songs ever

 

Somebody Else is my fav song, and then If I Believe You and Robbers round out the top 3.

 

Robbers is still my fave. But Somebody Else gets close with every day.

 

Said this before but Sex, fallingforyou, Me, You and Change of Heart are my top 5.

 

Tbh I can't do a top five really but I think it wouldn't have as many songs from this record, even though I think it's easily their best work. Weird...
