I don't really buy it but I honestly wouldn't mind. Not a fan of the new stuff but I saw LP with Pendulum years ago and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen.

I've seen LP live three times and I can concour they do put on an amazing live performance. Not a fan of this newest....'album' but I'd be down for everything prior to this one coming out

I would be so down for a Blink/LP tour. But I'm also one of the few people that likes the new stuff. Very different but I feel like it's more in line with where I'm at. Kind of a post-catharsis appreciation for lighter music.

Yeah one of my friends that went with me to the concert never heard of ATL and kept calling them "2nd Rate unfunny blink" all night. I just felt like they were trying way too hard especially when they weren't getting any reactions from the crowd. It was definitely uncomfortable when they asked a girl holding up a sign that said "it's my birthday" how old she was and when she said 16 they asked if she was making out with a lot of guys tonight.

This ATL slander is real uncool, a band making dick jokes doesn't mean they're trying to be Blink.

Plus, their music is way better.

    Speaking of ATL....

In 2005, the show they were suppose to play with Hit The Lights was cancelled due to health code violations at the venue. Instead, we told them they could play at my GF's place. They were down. We had a day to tell people so we gathered up like 75 people and charged them $5 each. People showed up, paid, and ATL didn't. We got a call and they said "Rian's drumset was dropped when they were loading stuff and had to get them repaired near Chicago". IDK, instead we had a local band play at the last minute, which was still fun.

Next day the ATL guys felt terrible and just came over to hang out with us for the afternoon before heading to their Chicago show. Alex flirted with my gf, Rian and I shot the shit/nerded out over Rise Against, pretty sure Jack would've jumped on the trampoline naked if my GF's parents weren't around, Zack slept and ate clam chowder soup that he burned, and we all had a cook out. Rian and I kept in touch for awhile afterwards and they always made it a point to say whats up at future shows. Then they blew up with So Wrong Its Right when that came out haha.

Here's a picture of Alex and my buddy Dale holding The Newlywed Game for whatever reason.

  7. Didn't ATL literally start as a Blink cover band? They're obviously emulating Blink. And their music is pretty horrible. Maybe it's an age thing? I don't know. I'm 31 so obviously Blink meant way more to me for at least 10 years before I even knew who ATL was.

I don't know if that's how they started, but who cares anyway? They've been a successful band in their own right since at least 2007 and, if they ever were imitating Blink musically, sure as hell aren't now.

I'm not even a huge fan of All Time Low's music but their shows are super fun, I usually try to catch them on every tour

Probably helps that I'm from Maryland though and hometown shows always seem special for bands

ATL's music is too generic and boring. I can't understand the hype about them.

The first couple of All Time Low records were really good. So Wrong, It's Right and Nothing Personal are really good pop-punk records.

I think I only got into one ATL song. Six Feet Under The Stars, my gf showed it to me. I don't think I've ever bothered to get into anything else by them.

I love Blink, but Paramore's live show makes Blink look like a local band. This kind of lineup would be so cool though.

Once was enough for me. It seemed like a phoned in performance to me last summer. If they release new music I genuinely like I would give it another chance but it's not trending in that direction. I'm happy with all the times I saw them 2000-2004 anyway.

Yup I saw Paramore twice, Hayley Williams has incredible stage presents.

Another serious question, I know you're a Tom guy (not knocking you for that) but if you saw blink after their reunion you didn't feel like he was phoning in performances? I saw blink twice and once I thought the band was fine and the other time I felt it was obvious Tom didn't care, maybe spoke three times in between songs and was off the stage as soon as they finished Family Reunion.

Yeah they do. I saw them once, although while I liked them I admittedly went because Jacks Mannequin was opening. I was impressed with Paramore 100% though. Didn't expect that

I've seen blink with Tom 4 times since the reunion and only one of them was an off show. September 2013 in San Diego and Mark and Tom didn't say a single word the whole show

This. When I saw them right after the reunion on the reunion tour it was great. When I saw them again on the Civic tour shortly after Neighborhoods dropped Tom barely spoke, he was pretty much motionless, and basically darted off the stage. My fiancé and I were huge Tom fans and even we could tell he wasn't feeling it: so while we did have fun still that kind of bummed us out.

Funny you say that. I remember Tom being Tom only on that Reunion Tour in 2009. He was running and joking around, etc. Then every time after that he just acted like a 40 year old not wanting to play songs like First Date, ATSM, Rock Show. He was not into it. Pretty much....he was a giant stage potato.

I will admit the last show I saw with Tom (Sept. 2013) felt a little "off"

It was at a casino so that may have added to the weird vibes but I remember having this weird feeling of knowing I was front row for my favorite band but just not being that into it. I know in Tom's facebook post about leaving he mentions how he wanted a band summit where they went away to work things out or whatever and it became a meeting in a shitty backstage dressing room at a casino, I like to think that was this show but not positive the timeline works out.

Either way it was weird. Now I look back at that show with a sense of nostalgia knowing it might be the last time I see blink with Tom.

I just pictured a giant human sized potato with a guitar strapped to it and wearing an AvA shirt and kind of laughed. Thank you for that

They made Fall Out Boy look like a joke on the Monumentour, with Blink it'd be way worse.

Was that the Mohegan Sun show in CT? I was there too, about three rows back on the floor. Was a weird show, but it was probably the closest I've ever been to the band, haha/

Generic is the absolute laziest criticism for a band. Yawn.
