Lol. According to Tim the label asked them to change a lyric in the song "Bullshit". They told them "No". Haha

I like the chorus, the verses and that intro/main riff are painfully boring.

Incidentally, Rise are on Virgin Records now, not Interscope. Apparently this was discovered a couple of years ago but I'd missed it so entirely possible some of others did too.

I like the song but jeez I'm struggling to make out Tim's lyrics with my earphones on and the volume up.

I enjoy the song quite a bit it's already stuck in my head!

I listened to the whole categlog this morning again for the millionth time at work and damn the legendary three album perfection they released with RPM - SSOTCC - TSATW still hits me in the feels. I've enjoyed everything since then with endgame being their weakest by a large margin but they will never top the albums before.

I like the album art alot. Song is better than the lead singles on the last two albums. Hopefully they break from the rut they have been in and put out something stronger this time around.

And it's not even like I dislike the direction of the music or anything. I enjoy Appeal To Reason for what it is, but I would rather they switch things up a bit instead of making Appeal To Reasons 2, 3 and 4.

I like that as a lead single way better than "I Don't Wanna Be Here Anymore", though I do understand the complaints.

Also not to brag but I ran into Tim via sheer coincidence the other day and got to talk with him for a minute. Such a nice guy haha

I haven't listened yet, but I really liked IDWTBHA and thought it was one of the stronger tracks on TBM. Excited to hear it now. That is awesome too btw, out of all my favorite bands he's one of the people I'd love to meet.

New song is meh. But I'm going through the Long Forgotten Songs album and I forgot how much of a fucking jam 'But Tonight We Dance' is.

I see they included Blask Masks & Gasoline and State of the Union in their setlist now, not to mention they even played Everchanging and basically nothing off the last two records.

I actually like Endgame better than Black Market (their weakest imo) and at the time I felt it was better than Appeal to Reason.
Architects is a great opener, Satellite rips and the other couple of more aggressive tracks buoy the middle of the album. This is Letting Go is an absolute gem and the closer is also pretty great.

I don't think any of the last 3 records have had many "rippers" tbh. I'm not sure if it's because Zach's riffs aren't as aggressive as Chris', the production is slicker, Tim has lost some of the edge on his voice, or the songwriting has gotten cheesier. Feels like a little bit of all of that. Last 3 albums are still quite good though
