I'm starting to wonder if Sessions is not the second most dangerous man in the country right now.

Well he's acting like he's some regular dude who "wants to do his job right and is worried about what others think of him"

 

Not sure where you're getting that from ... he rags on Sessions on a pretty consistent basis.

 

I was more worried about Pruitt and Tillerson when they were announced, but Sessions has definitely passed Tillerson and probably Pruitt at this point

Just going by this post thread, he was pretty tame.

 

I realize that this is a sensitive subject for many. And this was truly a horrible thing to have happened, and the way all public institutions including education and our domestic military handle mental health and interactions with people who have mental health conditions is most certainly an important part of many conversations. I just want the reminder to be out there that this kid spent a night in a juvenile facility after an emotionally violent arrest of only him and not his mother. Because a lot of my friends have posted things like, "This is the worst thing I've ever seen," I think there's an opportunity for a little solidarity with the black and nbpoc communities in recognizing that we see similar situations play out much more violently and end with much more severe consequences every day when the victim isn't white. And to assume that putting hands on a pig is only going to end with an assault charge runs counter to the narrative in those instances as well.

I appreciate your response, and completely understand. What I should have phrased, is that this hits home for me, and brings back many negative memories regarding my brother. He once snuck a candybar out of a gas station (not understanding what $$ is, and that things must be paid for) and is non verbal. The clerk called the cops, assuming there was malicious intent on our part, which didn't result in charges, but was humiliating. He has also been the subject of harassment at pools (he's a fish, and likes to sit at the bottom for about 45 seconds at a time) and not allowed to swim. I know this isn't relavent necessarily to your response, but again...perspective matters a lot to me, and this in fact is not the worst I've ever seen, but merely a situation that triggered an emotional response. I actually went to visit with my bro on my lunch break today and he gave me a good punch to the gut to remind me he's still the boss :).
