Hayley said somewhere that Tango in the Night // Seven Wonders was going to be an influence for this LP and I can 1000000% hear that on this

 

I LOVE the song and the album art is okay. Would've preferred just the paradoxical image and the P A R A M O R E text overlapping the blank spaces like they did. It does fit the aesthetic they're going for in the video though, which I admittedly like a lot! The drawn-in backup dancers were cool.

Oh shit, song is sooo good. Even better than I'd hoped for, really into the new sound. Saw someone say they could see slight CHVRCHES influences, which I kind can too.

To paraphrase a friend's description, this sounds like Shape of You meets that one Maroon 5 track meets that new ZAYN track. I don't really know about this one lol.

 

I think I can see a natural progression from the sound of Ain't It Fun and Still Into You, into this new sound of theirs. I really, really dig it like.

 

Really like the summer/island feel to the song. Definitely sets a good tone for the rest of the album.

 

I'm gonna give it another shot and see if it grows. I really wanna like it.

 

Oh shit, I guess I didn't even think about that, but (dark lyrics aside) this is going to be such a great summer record.

 

Man they really botched the art. Song is fun though.

I'm glad they aren't tying up the release date with the vinyl. Otherwise this would come out in the Summer and I don't think anybody wants to wait that long.
