Basically. Even the anti-Christ, I believe, had powers and the persona that draws people to him. Not to get too deep into it, but the Bible says:" The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie". This is all just speculation and i doubt the show would be so overt about the whole thing. It's interesting to think about, though.

 

The antichrist theory is interesting. If Kevin were the antichrist, then Matt's biblical counterpart would be the false prophet. The false prophet is the religious leader who supports the antichrist and influences the world to follow him. This person would be, essentially, a false John the Baptist who cries out in the wilderness for the Savior. John the Baptist is the one who baptized Jesus in the biblical text and thus here it makes sense that Matt's (the false prophet) baptism of Kevin (the antichrist) serves as the inverse. The antichrist is also supposed to be assassinated at the halfway point of the seven year period of the tribulation and then resurrected just like Christ. So the fact that this season takes place three years after Kevin's "resurrection" as we're nearing the end of the seven year period makes this an interesting theory to speculate over.

What an episode! I can't wait to see where this ends up going.

 

I shouldn't have gotten used to binging this show, the week wait between episodes is going to kill me.

 

it's funny how excited everyone is and it's been ONE EPISODE! haha

I'm actually glad we can't binge this. I want to soak in every episode and think about it before moving on to the next. Plus, once it's done-- it's done.

 

Right. The only time I've binged this show is on my rewatch. It definitely needs time to sink in so you can theorize during the week

How quickly does this show up on hbo go? Can I essentially watch live? I always watch it on my tv in the living room but if people are over I'd rather watch on my PS4 in my room with hbo go

I've found that using the app puts me like two minutes behind live, but that's not really an issue as long as you don't check a bunch of live tweets or whatever.
