The rook line was the best part. I will say that he walked a fine line between suggesting certain players don't get calls and suggesting that foul totals should be equal. Just because there is a wide gap in fouls doesn't mean the refs did a bad job. There is no obligation to make sure foul totals are equal. That said, the refs very easily could have messed up too.

 

Haha holy shit. I do love me a good post-game rant.

 

No offense but for him to say Conley doesn't get calls because "he's classy and doesn't freak out" is dumb and doesn't prove his point about Kawhi have 19 free throws. Kawhi is the definition of a cool and collected player. EXPLAIN THAT Fizz

 

Everything though? He said Conley is classy and that's why he didn't shoot 19 free throws like Kawhi. Since when is Kawhi not easily one of the classiest players in basketball?!

 

I didn't say I agreed with everything he said. I just love that he said it, haha. My favorite was him talking about drinking wine on the plane to cool off (don't think the video posted in here had that line as it was the first thing he talked about in the post-game).

Fizz was absolutely right. Sean Elliott is always being a homer on the local Spurs broadcasts, but the first two games of this series has been unbearable to listen to him. No reason Memphis should be getting this disrespect from the refs.

The slam on the table was awesome. Love Fizz now.

 

I think he would have had a better argument if he was referring to Leonard getting those calls bc he is a superstar where as Conley doesn't bc that isn't how he is perceived. But yeah the freaking out comment is pretty bad comparison to use vs Kawhi.

Yep, I like Fizz getting fired up and standing up for his team, but I don't really agree with his argument.

 

How can you insult someone by saying they smell like weed and popeyes? Those are both pretty great things.

 

Yeah, Kawhi got a lot of iffy calls his way, but it's not like Conley was getting hacked for no calls on every drive.

That said, I like what Fizdale said and I'm sure his team's fired up. Also, and I'd give my life for Kawhi, but I think his quietness is overstated sometimes. He's quiet and robotic off the court and during games most often, but he still complains like a superstar, as he should.

 

That's what I was thinking. Those both smell great??

Hah I figured. Rings so hollow after hitting Isaiah on THAT night for a tech for waving at him, when Wade was hounding the refs on every call and got nothing
