Leftist accounts being suspended and banned while fascist, nazi, and white supremecist accounts are untouched isn't particularly surprising. Frustrating, yes, but not surprising. And tbh, to wish for the system to similarly punish the fascists smells more like horseshoe theory than anything to me. I think the comparisons aren't very helpful. Yes we want their accounts shut down, but it's to remove their platform and methods of organising, not achieve some balanced measure of "justice" under the current system.

i appreciate "lena," "dunham," and finally, "lena dunham," just should anything sneak through.

anyway, yeah. there are ways to engage with Dunham's brand of feminism meaningfully, it's just that 75% of engagement is pretty surface level and/or misguided, not to mention the plenty of it that's misogynistic. so we shouldn't pull punches when it comes to the harmful parts of her message, but it's still noteworthy that she managed to make some timely moves in feminism in pop culture despite the serious flaws of it. as it is, she's very... tone deaf, and that's glaringly obvious with tweets like hers which shut down all opposition anyway.
