The first five minutes of this SJ/Oilers game have been more exciting than the entire last 10 mins of the Rangers/Habs game. Awesome start

I'm glad the Sharks are seriously going to live or die by forcing Burns to try and shoot for a tip instead of you know being the creative sharks.

 

I'm so frustrated with the Sharks right now but also I'm not surprised at all.

I expected a low scoring playoffs because Sharks are like a bottom 10 offense. The problem is I don't know how this team went from a top 5 offense last season to bottom 10 this year. Has the PP really killed the offense that much?

I still truly believe the sharks are a better team on paper but it also seems like the sharks have been killing them selves with these bone headed playoffs leading to goals and the Oilers just keep capitalizing.

It also sucks that like almost all of the goals have gone Five Hole so the Oilers know where to aim for. I'm truly stumped on this team.

 

I'm going to a million post if I have to but this is the most truest statement on this series:

McLellan adjusted and Deboer is still stuck in his ways.

 

Let's get this rebuild started. One useless pavelski, and Martin Jones up for grabs. Jones comes with a beautiful view of the grand canyon, right between his legs. Biggest 5 hole you've ever seen in your life. Breathtaking. But really, please someone give us anything for these guys, I want nothing to do with them. Marleau and jumbo can walk or retire I don't care, boedker and ward to vegas. Give the C to logan, and let's stop reminiscing about the good old days when we got our asses handed to us in the finals by Pittsburgh like that's something to be proud of.

the powerplay being bad is crazy to me. When we met you guys in the WCF last year I remember being absolutely terrified every time we took a penalty.

 

Isn't it a rule that whichever team has a player down has to have possession to get a whistle? I think they instituted it along the same lines of delay of game or knocking the net off purposefully. They do it so that players don't abuse it when they go down to block a shot or whatever. This is one of the rare times it looked bad because the play was still happening around it.
