Only complaint I have is how extremely easy it is to defeat the bosses in the beasts. Lynel are still difficult though.

If you want to know, typically those kind of shrines are given to you as a quest so you'll know what to do

Like I said in my post, the shrine quest just mentions you have to do something at a certain time of day, but doesn't say what the time is.

Hence my question about whether I just need to dig around more for clues, or if the intended solution is just to camp there and wait (in which case I'll go spoiler what time I have to do it because I don't feel like sitting there all day)

The problem with the story is everything that matters happens in the past. I love the memories, and the characters in those stories. Zelda's plight is the most emotional part of the game. But it's all in the past so it falls flat. I wish they had made the story center on that timeline. I want another game like Ocarina where Zelda is in the real time of the quest and you meet other important people like the sages along the way.

This is the Nintendo problem. They can't win. 50% of people will always want the opposite of what they do.

That's true of most things though, not just Nintendo games, ha. They seem to have hit a higher percentage of satisfaction with this game than most though.

Yeah I just think there is a very strong divide between Zelda fans in that regard and there always has been.

Yeah, some insane people even prefer 2D Zelda.

there is probably at least one person out there whose favorite Zelda game is the picross one.

Some people just want to watch the world burn.

I can see the case for A Link To The Past, the Zelda 2 people are the real rebels

Link's Awakening is my fave. I poured so many hours into it as a kid. I think it is the only one I actually owned until the Wii/emulators came around.

I don't think A Link to the Past is that good. Links Awakening I can understand more.

A Link to the Past has the hardest final dungeon. By the time you get to the final boss, you have like 5 hearts left, 0 fairies, and no hope.

Got my Ocarina of Time outfit from an amiibo. Looks awesome but I'm still always changing attires due to weather, climbing, and battles since it's not leveled up yet. Also up to over 100 shrines found with almost the 2 full rows of hearts. Still got like 20+ side quests to complete. Can't wait for the new DLC quests as well.

I'm not too far into the story yet, and so far I'm not that invested, but I've prioritized exploring this world and this will definitely be a Top 3 Zelda game for me for that and the gaming mechanics alone. When I was a kid, I was obsessed with geography so I would just explore Ocarina of Time's world for hours and be content. This is the grown up version of that. It's unbelievable how much it makes me feel like a kid again.

I've also been in a few scenarios that were not only worth telling but were actually harrowing enough to be riveting to people who have no interest in the game. Like, older friends of mine who never play video games were fascinated when I told them about a certain stealth mission that had me stuck on a ledge surrounded by enemies until it stopped raining and I could safely climb. The depth of adventure in this game is jusf unmatched.

Has anyone else completed all of the shrines but still shrine quests? Somehow I completed 8 shrines without doing the quests

The only one I can think of is the blood moon shrine that's south of Washa's Bluff. Also, you can setup a fire anywhere and pass the time by sitting next to it.

I've stumbled upon a few without doing the quests to get there. Some were blessings too haha.

There's the one Kass gives you at Gerudo Tower, the "cold shadow" one, and the ancient Rito song. I think that's it. Those all require you to do something at a specific time. The clues are enough to give you a general time but I know I waited around for a few hours in game time once I found the platform. The platform will tell you when the time is exactly right and then you just have to figure out what to do, which can be a puzzle in itself.

Yes, but not that many. I ended up finally looking up who I needed to talk to just to get to that number.

I forget what its called, but its in the right part of the Gerudo highlands, way up in the snow, near the maze. You find a notebook talking about the shrine in a burned down building.

I played this for the first time ever when it was a 3DS Virtual Console reward on ClubNintendo a couple of years ago. It was such a breath of fresh air and is probably my favorite GB/GBC game.

I love this game so much, but I hate this nagging feeling that I don't really have good gear...

Can someone explain to me what the benefits of buying a house are? In the game, obviously haha.

@SLADE775 It starts a quest line and you can use it to store fancy weapons
