There have been a ton of takedowns on streamable today. Basically anything posted on /SC

 

If it wasn't painfully obvious before there is no chance we ever see Paige in a WWE ring again Paige and Alberto, at it again

Really sad she gave up her career for whatever she is doing now - restaurants?

 

Paige was only ever a top female wrestler because she was a bright spot in that transition between Laurinaitis era hires and the blossoming division there is now imo. Unique look, young, and charismatic, but most of today's top women could work circles around her. I've always been confused by how often the folks calling Sasha and Charlotte out on botching were the same ones who were stans for Paige.

 

Shibata may never be able to wrestle again.

 

Paige is a young, dumb teenager. She'll get it one day.

 

Thing is, she's still a year younger than Bliss/Sasha. Considering how much better Charlotte got in her first year on the main roster, and how many great matches the women have been putting on, gotta imagine Paige would have kept up.

Such a huge waste, when even as a tier lower than the main women, she's still way better than WWE's other filler like Carmella, Natalya, Dana, etc

 

I heard some secondhand stories from someone really close to the guy from A Day To Remember and he said she's always been pretty shitty. Lotsa funny business. I can't confirm any of it, but it sounded pretty damning.

I don't think she had the right mentality going into it to be very successful. Bliss and Charlotte both came in knowing what they needed to do to be top girls, and made it work. Paige didn't.

 

A day to remember are pretty shitty so she was probably amazing and got really messed with by them.

Their first album was everything I needed in college

 

That's fine lol I liked them once long ago. I just know people who grew up with them and they're garbage, mysoginist people.

 

That Shibata news is awful. But i gotta watch that match and see that headbutt

 

The match is so awesome. Okada is fucking magic. Has me actually looking forward to a Fale match. Lol

 

That seriously is such a bummer about Shibata. Even if he can't wrestle anymore, I hope he can still live a good life after that nasty injury.

Okada is on an incredible title run unlike any other run I've seen before. It's even scarier to think how young he still is too, because he could potentially somehow improve even more.

 

War of the Worlds announcements start tomorrow, anyone going to those shows?

Can someone give me a review of the superstar swaps? Did any new feuds develop with the people who swapped?

I've been out of the country and don't feel like watching the recordings.

 

Feuds that were strongly hinted at from memory:

Charlotte v. Naomi
Alexa Bliss v. Bayley or Sasha
Bray v. Finn
American Alpha v. Shining Stars (yes, seriously)
Styles v. Owens (Styles is #1 contender against winner of Owens/Jericho)

And dark matches would indicate Nakamura v. Ziggler is on the books

 

Which Stars went to which brand?

 

Crews, Ambrose, Miz/Maryse, Bray, Alexa, Mickie, Curt Hawkins, Heath/Rhyno, Kalisto to Raw, The Drifter showed up as well

KO, Sami, Charlotte, Rusev, Lana (seemingly wrestling now, had her own Emmalina-esque coming soon thing), New Day, Shining Stars, Jinder, Sin Cara to Smackdown, Tamina also came back

US/IC titles swapped shows. The US title stays with Smackdown even if Jericho wins, he'll move to Smackdown if he comes out the winner of the KO rematch.

Byron and Otunga swapped too, though Otunga is out for 6 weeks and Booker is replacing him (or really Byron since Otunga hasn't been on yet) on Raw.
