Cinematography was incredible, has a great deadpan sense of humour and the instances of violence come way harder than I expected. The fact that she wrote/directed/starred in her first feature all while pregnant is unbelievable.
It makes sense finding out she cowrote an early Wheatley film, similar tone and honestly matches his best work. Such a pleasant surprise.

Finally watched A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night and man was that a pretty film. Loved it. I wonder if she'll ever tell Arash her name. Soundtrack was great too.

    Edit: Cat. Cat Cat cat

I can't get Maniac out of my head. I'm gonna have to rewatch that one soon. Tonight, it's all about Tourist Trap. I love my Shudder subscription.

Try to find the Director's cut that includes the spider-walk.

Huh. Good to know, I thought that was just in the original cut, considering how famous it is.

Edit: Oh I see what you're saying. It was excluded from the Director's Cut?

The spider walk wasn't in the original theatrical release. It's on DVDs and the 2000 theatrical re-release though

Forgive me if I have posted any of these before. This is my Shining tattoo and my Halloween costume from a few years ago. Lil' obsessed. Thought y'all might appreciate.

That tattoo is so rad. I remember you sharing it in here or on AP and I still think of it from time to time when I consider horror movie tattoo ideas.

Saw The Void last night. The story felt pretty disconnected, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a fun watch.

I watched The Town That Dreaded Sundown (2014) on Netflix last night. It's a very run-of-the-mill horror movie and there's nothing particularly memorable about it. I feel like I wasted 90 minutes of my life.

Would you have really used that 90 minutes to do something productive otherwise
