That's cheaper than MSRP for bottles haha

Yeah saw someone else charging $10 a glass which I would not pay.

Struck out again on No Rules today as well as cans of M-43. Beer is a dumb hobby haha

Beer manager at the Okemos meijer said he was putting some on the shelves this week when I emailed him. I know that's a hike for ya, though

Yeah, that's about an hour and a half drive for me unfortunately. I know there still might be more hitting a couple other places of this way so I'll keep looking.

I might swing out near Okemos tomorrow for work. If there's a couple on the shelves, I'll try to scoop one.

Picked up a four pack of Fortem by Firestone Walker. I recommend everyone try that beer at least once, so good.

Had this today from Modern Times and really liked it, Saison with Mango and Orange Zest. Glad it's canned because it'll be a perfect beer to bring along to Coachella next week!

Had my local's version of a NEIPA last night and thought it was pretty solid. Still, I don't have the Treehouse, Hill Farmstead, etc knowledge to compare it to

What brewery? NEIPA's in the Chicagoland area seem to sell out with the snap of a finger. I've only had Cirrus by Hailstorm and Snooze Juice from Forbidden Root, and both were solid but nothing worth seeking out above beers I can get more consistently.

Pollyanna. They distributed a few kegs to a couple bars downtown and in the southwest burbs looks like, but bombers are only available at the brewery. And agreed, this was $10 for a bomber, and while I did like it, I can get more quality offerings from Pollyanna for cheaper. Their stuff keeps getting better though so I'm sure they'll improve it next time.

What I've found is that the 3-5 breweries in Michigan that do them are on an exponential growth rate with NEIPA's. They'll be okay and pretty good then all of a sudden they figure it out and become, legitimately, some of the best beers in the state. Right now, I think Old Nation here in Lansing -- who just went state wide with their NEIPA called M-43 -- have a top five or top three beer in Michigan.

I'm 31 years old, and I found out today that "IPA" stood for India pale ale.

Before today it was known as "tree beer".

Landshark was BOGO at the grocery store so I picked some up since I'm in money save mode. I've had a great month or so of beer drinking, so this tastes especially bad haha.

Yeah, Landshark is ... not good.

Yeah I thought this was really good as well! Slightly tart, super refreshing, and the mango really comes through.

Picked up a couple bottles of Bell's Mars DIPA (only time I had it was on the release and I was drunk when I got there) and a four pack of Dragon's Milk Mexican Cake variant. Excited to try both of them.

Jupiter was the only one I've had from the planet's series and it was literally the worst beer I've ever had. I was gifted a Saturn that I've been sitting on because Jupiter was so horrible. That kind of turned me off from the whole series, but I see Mars is actually supposed to be good. I'm intrigued.

Very happy with my Coachella haul this year. It's no glass allowed, and will be hot as balls, so I tried to find the best lighter cans (with a little dark stuff at night!). Every year it's easier and easier to get worthwhile cans, this year should be a good one.

Jupiter sucked. The best were Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. So you should be fine with Saturn, so long as you like BBA Barleywines.

Oh man, canned Fruitlands. That would probably be the only thing I drank all summer if I had access to it.

Modern Times' cans are either my favorite or second favorite packaging in the entire beer industry. They're so sleek and sexy.

Picked up some Really Dank Meme by Triptych Brewing in Savoy, IL that was canned a week ago and a barrel aged red from a farm brewery (Big Thorn) today while I was traveling for work. It's gonna be a fun weekend.

The simple white cans are so great, and recognizable. I was super surprised that the blue/orange (i posted the label up higher) was Modern Times as well when I first saw it, so different from their standard
