    pale earnhardt jr.

Off the first listen I like it a lot and love it seems to be to leave so many unanswered questions from the whole is there a second album thing (dragonflyjonez on twitter had a interesting theory about that) to the differences.
Kendrick is always on some next level shit, shit he at least knows how to keep people on their toes.

This is the most immediate Kendrick album for me so far, perfect mix of wild, out there beats and soundscapes but grounded in a palpable way.

Also, would love (if it happens) for the second album cover be the same thing, except Kendrick just smiling goofily and laughing his ass off. Would really play into the duality, resurrection vibe, and play into the whole counter-gangster movement currently going on now.

Superb. I love that it's quite experimental - some hard as nails beats then some sweet ones with Kendrick even singing a little bit. Yah, XXX and Fear my favourites after 3/4 listens.

As much as I would love more Kendrick so soon I don't think this second album is coming (and i'm usually the first to speculate). This album is so solid I think less is more in this scenario anyway.

If the album was originally supposed to come out last Friday, the Good Friday/Easter thing doesn't really add up

Man, I love how Kendrick belts out the hook on "GOD." Really one of the coolest moments on the album for me

    what a waste of wood

This is probably his most interesting release to me after one listen.

Meaning it was the most immediate.

Something I can appreciate on early listens: Still lots to unpack here it seems lyrically like TPAB, but this one provides a little more immediacy.

  19. Apparently only Humble was supposed to come out last weekend, Top Dawg just pushed it out early because the artwork leaked. Album was always set for 4/14.

  20. Less narrative driven but still pretty narrative driven. No skits. Dig those large scale decisions

I prefer this to TPAB. More up my alley. "DNA", "YAH", "FEEL", "XXX" and "LOVE" are all early favorites.

Album is pretty good. I definitely see it having more replay value for me than TPAB did.

Hah, second album speculation is getting crazy, just saw someone mention "This that Grey Poupon, that Evian, the Ted Talk" = red and blue because Evian's logo is red and blue, Grey Poupon has red and blue stripes on the cap and Ted Talks have a red TED logo on a stage with blue lights.

Anyway, I love what we have. Gonna jam this all weekend for sure.
