They are. The said they were taking time off from touring to write and record. This tour seems to just be around Rockfest where they likely got a huge paycheck to play. It was a no-brainer for them.

 

Akasaka Blitz was right around the corner from my hotel when I was in Japan back in March. Passed it every day I was in Tokyo to get on the metro. Neat!

 

I don't think a bands success has upset me more than Varials....literally trash...I have no idea why people like them.

 

Varials blocked me on Facebook for mentioning their old vocalist being accused of trying to rape two of their fans. And a few guys on their page who live reasonably close to me threatened to attack me if they ever see me at a show and whoever runs their page was openly supporting and agreeing with those comments. Fuck that band.

 

Damn you guys are not gonna be happy with that wage war tour announcement...

Idk if this has been talked about in here, but Touché Amore mentioned on stage tonight that they'd be back in the fall in a tiny venue.

 

FUCK yeah. Love/miss seeing Touche in smaller more intimate settings. Always a blast.

 

Wishful thinking, but if that short European Touche/Code Orange co-headliner becomes a stateside tour, I'll be excited.

 

I know I bring up Summer Slaughter all the time here, but they began dropping hints the Monday after Easter last year, so I'd expect them to start dropping hints next week.

Final predictions?

 

Anybody have anything on Brand New? If they really are breaking up in 2018, you'd think they'd tour at least one more time...

 

I was supposed to see DMX last night at a bar down the street from me. He canceled. He apparently had food poisoning. There are rumors that he was never booked.

 

I remember around 10 years ago, he was supposed to play a small bar in New Haven and he cancelled due to food poisoning too. I think he's more of a flake that uses the same dumb excuses haha

He was supposed to play Skate & Surf a couple yrs back, was bummed when he backed out.

 

Arsonists Get All The Girls are planning a 10 year tour for The Game Of Life. From what I heard, I Set My Friends On Fire might be opening.

 

I do remember seeing his name on the lineup!
