Apple has rebranded their iTunes podcast directory as “Apple Podcasts.” You can still find Encore in the same ‘ol place.

I do wonder how much longer iTunes will remain. Splitting that (very bloated) app up has to on some roadmap somewhere.

It's official: iTunes Podcasts is now @ApplePodcasts.

Podcasters, we've got a great new badge to help you promote your shows. [IMG][IMG]pic.twitter.com/c9ZWVmSCsq

Wasn't there a report last year that Apple hopes to discontinue MP3 sales in a few years?

I might be in the minority, but I don't like having my audiobooks, podcasts, music in different apps.

    Might be Spider-Man...

Haven't used iTunes in years...I was once a huge user, I wonder if Streaming is the final frontier.

If you aren't using Overcast for podcasts, you're doing it wrong.

    What's the advantage of Overcast?

UI is much cleaner, EQ and Speedboost features are nice. It's Marco Arment's baby vs an afterthought for Apple.

is it the same for you? Prestigious

unrelated to the news, related to the discussion: i like overcast (and never actually used the apple podcast app), but i really miss being able to queue up albums and podcasts in the same place the way i used to with on the go playlists on my ipod classic.

On a similar note, am I the only one who would be willing to pay a view bucks for an app that replicates the iPod classic navigation for media, clickwheel and all?
