Trying to wrap my head around the suggestion that Russ is not the MVP because he is "stat-padding". Seriously? He is 18th in mpg and playing fewer minutes than Oscar did when he averaged a triple double. I'm just going to pretend that argument wasn't actually brought up.

  2. We need: MVP and best player awards each year.

I really do think we need two. Cause if the aliens come and we gotta beat them in one game ...

    I'm still taking LeBron #1.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy that we sort of take LBJ dropping at least 25/year for most of his career for granted. But, Russ, Harden, and Kawhi have had the best singular seasons this year.

The thing I am sort of concerned about is that the media votes for all NBA teams will play a direct role in player extensions like Paul George (ultimately the team's direction) and others moving forward. I kind of wish we didn't have these awards sometimes.

I love the "Celtics haven't won a road playoff game" thing that gets trotted out repeatedly. We're legit talking about one playoff series like it's the Eagles in the NFC championship year after year.

They had a losing record that first year. They shouldn't have been anywhere near the playoffs but the East is garbage. Nobody expected them to win a game.

    Thought this was interesting.

This is an easy way out but give me a Westbrook/Harden co-MVP. Both men deserve it in different aspects. Westbrook for basically doing the majority of the heavy workload for the team after destroying everyone's expectations after a top five player left the team.

And harden just improving on his all around game (especially defense)

He's playing very well. He's capable of games like this if given the chance. But when LeBron and Kyrie are active, they control the ball 90% of the game so it makes Deron essentially worthless.

  12. I hope they're just resting the good (oxymoron alert) officials for the playoffs too, because the calls in the last two Cavs games have been even less impressive than usual.

This is probably my least favorite Bulls team that I've watched in my lifetime. As a fan, I obviously want the team to have success, but honestly the thought of having to watch these guys for at least another four games just sounds awful.

  14. And the minutes he plays without them where he looks like he's about to fall down every second and the last three teams he's played for where he's been a joke are .... flukes? Heh. He's been very bad for years now. God I hate watching him play basketball.

Doesn't matter who is on the floor for the Cavs, this team LOVES blowing double digit leads. They've blown two separate 14-point leads tonight. Hard to stomach.

  16. It's almost like they're really bad at defense. Heh.

It's crazy how three years ago, I would never be rooting for Miami over the Bulls. But right now I'm sitting in front of my tv yelling every time they miss haha.

Miami is so likeable right now, plus Whiteside won me a lot of fantasy money two years ago, so I'm a lifelong fan.

And this Bulls team deserves to fail.

  20. Jason will be thrilled to know that Deron has been abject down the stretch the fourth quarter. One of the worst like 30-5-5 games I've ever seen.

  21. I do like that Deron Williams literally threw the ball away and then fell down on the last play. That was funny.

  22. That was an interesting foul from the angles they re-showed.

If they run anything but a pick and roll, I will be surprised. Hopefully Korver gets a good look.

    Edit: or not

  24. I'd definitely force a mid-range jumper there. Is that really what Lue drew up? Hahah.

  25. What a silly game
