Also I'd rather play a ton of Ubisoft open world games than the yearly CoD rehash that Activision treats us to, personally.

I think GTA online is boring. three playable lead characters isn't that big of a deal. Heck the LEGO games have multiple playable characters during main missions. Other than that, it plays like many open world games. You have the story, side quests, collectibles, exploration, random events, NPC reactions. It's really the enjoyment that people get out of GTA that makes it what it is. At least that's what it was for me. I wasn't playing it thinking "whoa cool!" I was more like "this is really fun".

Pretty much this, that I've been echoing forever now lol

And when they do make original stuff, people conveniently leave those out of the discussion. Like child of light, grow home, valiant hearts. Even more recently, for honor, that's not something they've really done before. Even if it's not entirely "original", it is a challenging game.

    UBI is love.

    UBI is life.

UBI has Aisha Tyler every year.

Aisha is great and she's always so game to get up there and do her best with what they give her every year at E3. Plus, Lana Kane. 'Nuff said.

Yeah but those Lego characters aren't fully fleshed out or playable all on their lonesome plus the collectibles etc. aren't littered over the map like say AC or Far Cry to make up for the lackluster things to do outside of the main storyline.

Ahhhh there's nothing lackluster about far cry 3 or AC syndicate's side missions at all. In fact I often enjoyed those as much as the main stuff, if not more. Same thing with watch dogs 2.

And there are two playable protagonists in Syndicate. And they're my favorite since Ezio lol

Difference between side missions and littering the map with collectables and things to discover which JC3 or GTA V simply don't do.

Watch dogs 2 doesn't do that. The collectibles are rare and actually contribute to your experience (skill points, clothing items, money). Syndicate has a few of those (flowers, beer bottles and posters lol), but also has necessary stuff like crafting materials and money. So I think they finally got the message.

Basically I have an answer every time. I'm not embarrassed. Lol

I love GTA V because I really enjoy the gameplay, but I think the characters are unlikeable and the story is meh. Watch Dogs has the opposite problem in that it has more interesting characters and a slightly better story, but uninspiring gameplay for the most part.

If you call pointing out two games out of many an answer then yeah, sure you do...

Um I'm mocking myself, I don't know why you have to be a dick... but yes it is an answer? Watch dogs 2 is VERY recent, and I think that's important.

And you also are calling out "two games" with JC3 and GTAV so...?

Not being a "dick" but if you want to parade an answer around every time you reply then least make it one that is more secure than a simple two game reply and there are plenty of other free roam games that don't litter the map with tons of things, even ME:A is stripped down map wise compared to Ubisoft games.

I don't think it's as serious as you seem to be making it out to be, and there's no need to say "parade an answer around", it's...just video games. I was trying to lighten the mood lol

I gave you answers and you don't think it's enough. Oh well.

I'm not one of those people that like to make comments on games I haven't played haha ;)

GTA games are in many ways better than comparable Ubisoft games largely because the budgets for those games are so astronomical even compared to AC

I'm still thinking about GTA V Online being good. I thought it was pretty basic stuff. I thought what really helped GTA V Online be good was the map editor. If you give a community a map editor, they will create some amazing stuff.

Never claimed it was serious since obviously there are far more games out there than the kind Ubisoft put out but the kind they do put out has been around for so long now that is why I have grown tired of their same old formula. JC3 and GTA V were the two that came to mind when thinking of free roam games that don't wholly succumb to the Ubisoft formula.

Games with maps cluttered with icons do need to rethink their approach a little after Zelda I think

Also they don't churn GTA games out on a yearly basis. I'm really glad Ubi took 2016 off, hopefully the game that comes out this year was worth it.

There needs to be a proper balance between density and quality of content. Breath of the Wild struck that balance perfectly. In my opinion, Fallout 4 was another example of the perfect balance; smaller map than Skyrim and Fallout 3, from a size standpoint, but the map was incredibly dense and populated with well-crafted content.

Well I mean different teams work on different AC games, they all individually get three to four years
