I said this earlier in the thread, but from that clip, I'm picturing a song more along the lines of "Make Me So" by Yellowcard. Probably less of the soft parts though. Very dancey though.

Edit: Also, I think it's funny that "MH" lines up with "Rabbit Hole" on these comparison lists. The songs aren't completely similar, but they have like the same pre-chorus pretty much. I also like both song but favor "MH"

haha me too! It mainly just sounded similar in the tempo/beat though. Not actually saying the end results will be similar in any other way.

I like Up All Night bc the verses sound like Box Car Racer.

Don't really care for This is Home, Fight the Gravity, and Love is Dangerous.

I vividly remember listening to the premiere of Up All Night online. It was an amazing thing to finally hear new Blink. I don't know if it's just my memory of that experience painting my view of the song, but I still love it. The BCR style riffs along with the back and forth between Tom and Mark really work for me.

I was wonder what a BCR follow up would sound like. I can't see tom making anything that doesn't sound like AVA.

Also never forget 2-3 years before it was released when that shitty website TomsAngels claimed to stream the new song, and you had to wait "up all night" to hear it. LOL

I still enjoy the song. Hearing that song for the first time was awesome!

  14. I remember one interview with Tom where he was asked something like that and he said that AVA was the follow up to BCR, which is hilarious. If he had called it Box Car Racer, I would have thrown a shoe at him. I almost did when he titled an AVA song "Letters To God, pt 2" which I thought was fucking stupid because it had no resemblance at all to the original. It's like it was just titled that in order to get some of the old fans to click on it out of curiosity. Which is Tom's main form of promotion, it seems.

I buy AVA as a Box Car Racer follow up. Both are Tom-controlled outfits, they're his vision. Just at different times for him. Untitled isn't lesser blink-182 because it sounds different than Dude Ranch. Plus AVA has the occasional heavier song that sounds like BCR might sound 10 years later, just more anthemic stadium rock tinged rather than hardcore/punk influenced stuff. He has every right to claim AVA is a continuation of BCR, or write sequels to BCR songs under AVA. They're both his. Box Car Racer is just a heck of a lot better.

I remember Travis saying in an interview around the time the BCR album came out, that would be cool if they could get together every year or two and blast out another album in a different direction each time. Would love to have heard that.

When Tom named that AVA song Letters To God, pt 2 I knew it was gonna be bad before even listening to it haha.

there's a couple of live audios of "Dance With Me" that I believe would've been on the next BCR album or something

I tend to think Blinks Self-Titled as BCR's follow up album.

Songs like Obvious, Easy Target, Go, All of This, Viloence, and probably Stockholm Syndrome all have hints on BCR in them.

You know how people wanted versions of Pretty Little Girl without Yelawolf? I need a version of San Diego without Matt's Ooohing in the second verse. Let a song breathe for 2 seconds! Jeez.

Really love this piece even though it's the same four words over and over. I wonder whatever happened to it.

Supposedly this was posted on Tom's Facebook back in 2014 but I have no idea.
