Yea, it a little different. Quiznos I feel emphasized the toasting and had a bigger variety to choose from. Firehouse has really fresh tasting ingredients and some hot sauces if you go that way. I'm slightly more partial to firehouse.

 

Is it just me or are most sub places basically the same?

Sure, some are slightly better than others, and Subway is WAY worse than the rest, but otherwise Jimmy Johns, Firehouse, Jersey Mike's, Quizno's, Potbelly, Which Wich... they're all comparable.

Idk... I guess I just don't get the loyalty to a certain one.

 

I always felt like Quiznos was the best out of the chain ones. But I haven't been to Potbelly, Which Wich, or Firehouse. Then again, Quiznos went bankrupt... so... yeah. Local places are always better anyway.

 

Jersey Mike's is pretty legit, but yeah, agreed.

 

Yeah, I think I might prefer Jersey Mike's to the others, but like I said, I probably wouldn't cross the street to go there over a different sub shop.

I find it hard to compare toasted sub places to cold subs, but otherwise, yeah.
the biggest differences are just the atmosphere of the restaurants, for that I really enjoy Potbelly & JJ, and Which Wich wins the ordering category because you can just write all the extras/special things you want and not have to say it all out loud.

 

I had a vanilla salted caramel cupcake last night and it was delicious. It was huge and they hollowed a little bit of the center out and filled it with this caramel sauce. Sooo good.

 

I bought some marinated chicken at the store to prep for lunches this week. They're so flavorless. It makes me sad.

I'm going to have to go nuts with the seasonings for next week's lunches.

 

I literally have only eggs and bread. So I ate an egg sandwich.

 

I hope you had ketchup too.

Mayo or Miracle Whip

 

Now that's just truly disgusting.

 

Mayo is a necessary component of the sandwich! And Miracle Whip is a perfectly acceptable substitute!

 

I thought it was a given that anyone vehemently against ketchup would be similarly disgusted by Miracle Whip

 

Miracle Whip is the worst condiment on the market... right? It has to be?

 

I'm not completely opposed to ketchup. It has its place, but not on eggs

On a sandwich, in a salad... I think it was potato... and off a spoon to taste it.
