I hope so too. The Schmidt name reveal had me worried because it felt like they were gearing up for the end in case they didn't get the chance to come back and do that.

 

thought the same thing; i'd expect these types of things to usually have more of a build up

 

If this does get renewed, that's definitely how I'd see it going and I'm okay with that. And it'd be great to see Nasim get promoted to a series regular now.

 

This episode was so fantastic

Probably the best episode of this season. I really hope this gets renewed for one last season, but if not it seems like they're trying to wrap up alot of storylines now.

I wonder how they did that so quickly

 

It works as a series finale. But I don't want it to be that. They've nailed the finales the last two seasons.

 

They mentioned that they had to drop some extra dollars for that haha

 

My only issue is did they forget about the whole thing from "Eggs"

 

AV Club's review referenced that and wished they'd done a sub-arc about how hard they had to work to overcome said issue.

 

Idk if anything can top how I felt at the first season finale.

Everything I've been reading has been suggestive of the show's return for a seventh season. I'm hoping for the best.

The quote at the end there about the time jump with the coda is interesting because they've mentioned a potential time jump for season seven in other interviews. I'd love to have a final season that works somewhat in the vein of the seventh season of Parks and Recreation. Seeing Schmidt as a helicopter parent is one of the few times on television that I would actually want to see that.

 

Great episode, felt like a series ender
