All Alone (Together) In The Studio

 

Little over two weeks out.

I say we try to enjoy this torture/anticipation while we can. Mostly because I feel like this could be the last blink album.

I said it before, but I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas to come. Only problem is that when it does come, the disappointment sets in right after it passes.

Just gonna enjoy every step.

 

I can't see this being the last blink album.

 

I treated Neighborhoods and DED as if they were the last releases, like we were lucky enough to get any kind of release at all after the hiatus. Somehow, this time around I feel like this is the beginning of a new era. And by the amount of material they created and recorded, I sense we'll get a lot of new songs in the future.

 

I'm a little worried that Skiba will dip and this will turn into a Defense against the Dark Arts professor situation. Hoping that's just the bad feelings I've had about the band the last few years influencing my suspicions.

I'm just nervous about everything blink now. When I'm nervous I take comfort in the things I know lol

 

I get the feeling Matt is super committed, actually. I think he's got what it takes to keep blink and Alk3 afloat, dude has a great work ethic.

 

I'm going to use this HP reference for everything now.

 

Btw, does anyone has any news on the Antemasque album Travis recorded recently?

 

Has blink had multiple versions of songs released other than "dammit"? The single version of it is so so good.

 

There's two versions of "Waggy." And there's a "single version" of "Josie."

 

Josie got the same treatment I think? Differences aren't as noticable though. There's also single edits for some of the Enema songs but they're more trimming the ends of songs.

 

Nothing like that post-dude ranch though? I know of the enema demos...

 

Oh there was the unmastered version of Heart's All Gone that the band put up on that website before the album release.

 

I used to think the live version of Dammit where Mark sings Ice Ice Baby over the bridge was so cool

 

I still think it's cool lol. Personal favorite was when he did skee-lo. I think I've also heard spice girls during the bridge? mark is the best haha.

 

"No Scrubs" is the best song Mark has sung over the "Dammit" bridge. Have also heard "Forgot About Dre"

 

Single version of "Down" ends differently than the album version as well.

 

The album version of Bored To Death has 30 seconds more to the intro than the single version.
