    I used to catch Geoff all the time when he dropped into Philly years ago. He would show up at the tail end of a 2 hour mic and do 20+ uninterrupted stream of consciousness. It was the first time I had ever seen a 'real' comedian just work stuff out. It was great.

    Anybody else in Los Angeles? I feel so spoiled being this close to the comedy scene. Cheap or free shows 7 days away, watching not only future stars but established stars on the regular dropping in to work on new material, prepare for tour, etc. Even getting to see podcasts like Harmontown live, every week, is so rewarding. It's truly insane.

    @Cody Nelson
    Just got around to listening to the newest A&CAF (because Doughboys has taken up all of my time) - Just wanted to say thank you for the legal support.

    I know it's been said before, but it's worth saying again, Not Safe with Nikki Glaser is fucking great. Haven't watched her standup special yet, but the show is fantastic.

    It started out pretty weird but eventually found its footing. I feel like with more episodes it'll be really good.

    Any other recommendations for comedy documentaries in the vein of I Am Comic and I Am Road Comic?

    That new Hannibal Buress one that just went up on Netflix is about him doing a month-long festival in Scotland, and how he gets through the monotony of it by changing his set up and experimenting and stuff. Definitely recommend watching it even though it might not quite be what you're looking for.

    Damn. I remember hear about I Am Road Comic a few years back but didn't know it ever came out. I really enjoyed the first one. Checking it out soon!

    Geoff was great last night. All new material he was working out except 2 bits from AGAIN (deer hoof prints and dick guns) and his acid trip story.

    I like Aisha Tyler but I feel like she is halting every bit they are trying to do in this Harmontown, especially in the "brunch conversation"

    Geoff has really been taking off since Doug took him under his wing. Maybe it's just more/better exposure. I didn't even realize he'd already put out a 3rd record, and apparently he's already working out quite a bit of new stuff too.

    "I'll chew on a dog!"

    He had this long bit about being in line at Walmart and this family in front of him deciding on which items to put back so they could pay with their debit card. Absolutely killed. I can't wait to hear it in its final form.

    I wasn't familiar with him until he started showing up on DLM and then I saw his standup when he came to town opening for Doug. I bought both of his first 2 records and enjoyed them quite a bit. Gonna have to grab AGAIN. Was hoping he'd stop in Dallas again on the Making The Rounds tour, but I don't think he ever finalized a date here even though he said he was working on it.

    Finally caught up on CBB. I haven't listened to Hollywood Handbook but I really enjoyed that episode a lot. Might have to check that show out now.

    I haven't heard any of the more recent CBBs, but I listened to the first 150 or so episodes, and watched the first season of the show.

    I'm going to the live taping next month. Just wondering if there's anything in particular I should listen to beforehand, to better understand context. Just the Best Of's? or...

    Probably any episodes with Lapkus, PFT and Neil Campbell since I'm sure they'll be doing their characters at the live shows
