  1. Honestly they need to ease Matt into the broken mode so that casuals won't be confused

    hahahaha no.

This was the final nail in the coffin for the Bray Wyatt hype train. I've given up believing WWE has any idea how to properly book him. Probably should've done that before, but I'm young and naive.

baaahahaa loser Bray loses again! big shock. Even when the guy 'has success', it turns into HILARIOUS FAILURE right away. He wins the title....in the process he loses Harper... Randy burns down his house...and then loses the title in his very next ppv defense against the guy that burned down his house (the face). Ouch.

Pretty average wrestlemania. A lot of garbage but a decent amount of bright spots.

Sad realizing that Roman Reigns is going to be main eventing 4 wrestlemania's in a row. I'm sick of driving home sad/mad./

I thought that dude was just running into the flames to immolate himself from that main event and my first thought was "I know the feeling, man."

    man, I'm pretty Prestigious

The worst lesson they "learned" from the age of Cena.

"Hey, you're reacting to our badly written/booked television product" is not heat. That doesn't mean you're doing a good job. That doesn't draw any money. Nobody wants to pay to see the Roman Reigns character do anything (by himself).

It's so mind-numbing. 'Die Rocky Die' would be the biggest star in today's WWE. "Listen to this crowd Maggle, everyone has an opinion!!!!!!!"

Roman makes more money on merch than any other full-time guy so I'm not sure you are right.

  15. M.Lee

    man, I'm pretty Prestigious

The collective "nobody" I was referring to are the majority of the crowd that boos him every show.

The merch sales are always Cena then a huge gap, then everybody else in a clump. It's been that way for a decade. Being the top of that list isn't too meaningful - Ambrose got there when he was champ. It's mostly a reflection of who's being pushed. Roman's house show numbers have also fucking tanked last year. And I don't know why I'm writing any of this because it wasn't even my point.

Also that Mania was a C+ at best.

A great tag + Rollins match surrounded by a ton of garbage

I'm with you man, feels like I'm in bizarro world cause usually these guys shit on everything, and I'm really kind of floored by how many are saying this was a great show.

    • Didn't see the CW match but sounds like it was fine, whatever.
    • Battle Royal continues to be a joke, what was the point of all the Braun/Show stuff when the result was fucking MOJO winning for the sole purpose of getting shown on Sportscenter because Gronk.
    • Dean beat Corbin on the pre-show in a match that was kind of bad and again what was the point really?
    • AJ/Shane was fine I guess, but Shane is still bad in the ring outside being an insane person. Pretty good match.
    • KO/Jericho was also pretty good but anti-climactic when compared to the build.
    • Raw women's match was a 4-way for the sake of being a 4-way and if Bayley was going to win why not have this be the time? Nia basically wasn't there, not a great match outside of Charlotte's moonsault which also loses its luster because she does it all the time.
    • Hardyz coming back was cool, Hardyz winning not so much. It was a fun match and the Hardyz pop was pretty great. It feels like this is the one reason everyone is defending Mania as a whole which is weird. Everyone complains about old/part timers coming in and "burying" young talent but the reality is it's fine if the old/part timers are guys you like? I also think the Broken gimmick was funny for 5 minutes and hope they're not doing it here.
    • The Cena/Miz match was a great build that led to a pretty shitty match all in service of a "d'aww" moment that was hard to care about since it was predictable as hell and also people don't really like Cena and/or Nikki.
    • Seth and Hunter was a good match. Surprised Joe wasn't involved but hope that Rollins can get his momentum back now.
    • Orton/Bray was a weird stupid shitty feud from the jump and Orton winning makes absolutely zero sense at all.
    • Brock/Goldberg was bad. Like, whoever's idea this whole thing was is the worst and I hate them. Everything about it sucked and it's all because Goldberg can't go anymore and I hate it so much.
    • Naomi winning was cool but that match was filler/comedown and nothing interesting happened.
    • Roman wins, Taker retires. Bad match. With @bigmike all the way, Taker is one of the best, that doesn't mean we can't criticize. He should have hung it up a long time ago. I don't really care that Roman won because he's obviously not going away anytime soon but if Taker can't put on the match he used to I don't know why they don't make these matches a little shorter.
It was an average to below average show top to bottom. Some of y'all really love the Hardy Boyz I guess. Good news though, none of it matters starting at 8 tonight!

So my opinion on the Hardyz winning is that is great. These are two guys who have had the biggest careers of any tag team in the last 20 years imo. They are back because they love the business and want to go out in a big way. They aren't there for a big paycheck like every other guy who comes back. They legitimately love what they are doing. They will 100% put younger talent over in a big way. They get gassed a lot quicker lately, so these multi man matches work really well for them. If you notice, they had the big spots, but we're absent for most the rest of the match. I'm curious to see how much of that we see going forward.

Dreamer confirmed that they will still be wrestling the House of Hardcore shows, which is great news, even though the matches won't be great. Dreamer and Bully Ray isn't exactly a marquee tag team.

They can win the titles at any point during however long this run is, they've had "WrestleMania moments", it would have been a huge thing for any of those other 3 teams to have won the titles in a ladder match against the Hardyz at Mania

Jeff has never won at Mania. A huge part of them coming back was him finally having that big moment. I remember them being reluctant to sign because he didn't think they'd put him in a top spot in any capacity. His getting clean was huge.

That pop, that Swanton, just being there is a huge moment.
We can agree to disagree, they could have won the titles tonight for all I care. I like the Hardyz, they just didn't need to win that match.

These are totally fair points, but I loved the moment personally. Different strokes for different folks. There is an inherent bias from my side with how much of a mark I am for the guy.

Still can't get over putting Orton over Wyatt. I hope that this is the start of a larger arc for his character, but I'm not fooling myself about the odds.
