If Taker wrestles again that ending would've been super duper dumb.

Super bummed about taker, but electro's post made me feel a bit better idk.

Side note, did anyone notice Jeff Hardy wear his TNA logo necklace tonight, not the WWE logo?

The Undertaker's career, his powering through his shitty hip, and his loyalty to the company mean nothing to match quality. This match sucked. It sucked a lot. It sucked worse than his loss to Lesnar, in my opinion. He should've gone out when he originally lost. You know, when Vince thought it was time to officially end the streak. That was his moment.

The fact that he stayed in the 90's is awesome, but irrelevant to tonight.

The fact that his hips and/or body doesn't work is irrelevant to tonight.

That match was a slog and a half. That match was awful.

Also nice how this WM had a little bit of something for everyone:

Mojo and Gronk for the bros
Cena proposal for the Total Divas fans
Hardys return for the indie fans/smarks
Bayley winning for the young girls
Naiomi winning for the hometown fans
Orton winning for the annoying casual fans stuck in the past who'd rather see Orton do his stupid pose than Bray Wyatt have a real title reign
Taker's exit for everyone with a heart

Wasn't posting tonight because I just wanted to watch the show, but some thoughts:

-Just when I thought Mojo couldn't be more unlikable, they take the Gronk friendship thing to the next level.

-Really surprised Ambrose won and not sure what they're doing with either guy going forward.

-I enjoyed AJ/Shane a lot more than I thought I was going to. As usual, Shane is insane.

-Raw women's match was fine, but the last few months of booking continue to make no sense if Bayley is going to win. Why not have Mania be the event where she wins/ends Charlotte's streak?

-Even knowing it was coming, the Hardys returning is the hardest I've marked out in a long time.

-Cena/Nikki proposal was predictable, forced and painfully boring.

    -Orton....why?

-I know Undertaker was going to lose his last match, but going out in a desperate attempt to put over a guy that is universally hated in the main event of Mania is a disgusting way to end one of the greatest careers of all time.

I'm gonna be a nerd for a moment and just say this WM viewing experience was much more fun watching and discussing with you guys than the past few manias ive watched alone. I had people with me tonight but it was a good time posting with you guys the 14 hours it was on for tonight. I'm very glad I started posting in here 6-8 months ago regularly again and you guys all make following wrassling a joy.

It was a fun Mania. Orton match is my biggest complaint. Overall, I enjoyed it more than much

havent read the thread but my mania hot take is fire whoever booked bray/orton and the raw women's match. i don't know why they continuously do this same shit with bray. they gave people a reason to take him seriously and then delegitimized him within the course of the same match. it's beyond comprehension. tonight shouldve been a lay up.

for the raw women, i have no earthly idea why you give bayley the title a month early when you could've had her win the title + end charlotte's streak at wrestlemania. that would've been a huge deal. if that wasn't bad enough, they book an elimination match that didn't need to be an elimination match. instead of one person taking a fall, you make three people take falls in a match where the winner doesn't even come out looking overly strong or anything. you could've accomplished the same thing in a fatal four way, but at least you would've had the other women still available to put together a better finish.

#ThankYouTaker (I agree, his career should have ended when the Streak ended. Regardless, this match did not ruin my retrospect on or fondness of his career, it honestly shouldn't for anyone unless you can't be happy at all in life. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

I am glad the Hardy brothers returned as the Hardy Boyz and not #Broken. I felt as if the #Broken gimmick had run it's course. A #Broken return at WM would have been a great pop, but I feared that the gimmick would have not been adapted well by WWE producers in the long run. But, I am still curious about what kind of magic WWE's resources of high production could have done for the gimmick. What are your thoughts about the shelving of the #Broken gimmick?

Sorry to the guys I couldn't meet up with, lost all reception real quick and then ended up moving seats because we couldn't see a damn thing.

For the most part I thought the show was great, but the main was pretty hard to watch. Taker is old, we've known this, but he looked fucking abysmal tonight. Only other complaint I have is Wyatt not retaining, which seems to be the common thought. So I'll leave it there. Fun show, difficult ending

I don't think it's gone, I just think we're just going to see a toned down version of it.

I think they may keep a few characteristics, but not the entire gimmick. But, why do you think the gimmick may not be over?

I mean, they did plenty of the gimmicks trademarks tonight. It could have just been fan service and they'll just go back to being the normal Hardys tomorrow, but I'd be surprised if they don't keep some of it going.

Literally the first thing they say after they appear is "Things are about to be BROKEN". At the very least, I think we'll continue to see various references to the gimmick even if we don't get the full Broken Matt Hardy character.

Got real confused when I saw the final 4 or 5..but then that Gronk thing happened and it made a lot of sense

Of the mistakes WWE made tonight, this was the worst with Corbin/Ambrose. Putting these two on the pre-show, when they are presumably a big part of Smackdowns future...huge mistake. Especially since I have no idea how the feud moves forward...

Shane is no doubt a crazy person, and that match was really well booked. Might have told the best story of any match, oddly enough. Helps a lot that the announcers put shane over as an MMA/boxing guy so that his strikes/moves could be believable.

The Hardys returning and winning was as high a high as Bray losing was as low a low. That was the chance to make Bray a god; with this cool ass seeming power, and having Randy completely rattled. Instead...RKO, 1-2-3.

And my god, its like the WWE HATES Roman. He kicked out of every one of Takers finishers. They must really believe the "he gets a reaction" shit...because the reaction hes gonna get on RAW is gonna be brutal.

I dont think he's shelving it; he was clearly doing all the mannerisms and he led #delete chants multiple times. I just think they have to ease into it, since half their audience wont really know the Hardy Boyz, and of the remaining half, not all have seen The Final Deletion, etc.

Im really curious where they are going with Bray/Sister Abigail. He did have that confused look when it failed to finish...so maybe they'll pay off this loss in some interesting way going forward.

Im looking forward to seeing who gets called up tomorrow. Thinking we actually might not see anything big beyond Balor returning. Smackdown might get all the callups
