Is there any reason why it wasn't Cena? Was he off during the build or injured or something?

Sucks Kane couldn't be included in this some way

Hopefully they'll induct each other into the hof next year

  6. Can't wait for the WWE 24 that shows what goes on backstage after this. I'm sure it's gotta be emotional.

it was reported that it was supposed to be cena for months (and years before that everyone said it SHOULD be Cena). it got changed right before the Rumble for reasons unknown

Welp that definitely was a rollercoaster

Cena retires Taker and they can't do their total bellas marriage proposal thing.

But, hey, guys, at least we got to see a staged proposal out of Cena tonight.

Also I changed my mind about that finish. Roman retiring Taker wasn't ideal, but they booked it the right way. Got all his moves in, and if Roman had turned heel it would've made the finish about Roman rather than making it about Taker.

Still should've been Cena doing the deed. But after watching that ending, I'm more okay about how the match went.

I read while ago that the original plan for this year was Cena vs Taker but Vince had always wanted to see Roman vs Taker before Taker retired, which fueled the rumors even more of this being Taker's last match

Besides Orton/Wyatt that was a fantastic mania

Cena/Miz match was dumb too, and pre-show was meh, but other than that I agree.

Orton/Wyatt really hurts though. Hard to see how Bray recovers from this.

And honestly I have no problem with Reigns over Taker. Match wasnt the best, but it wasn't awful. Gets Reigns more heat with smarks

Don't know if I was just too drunk or what but I really enjoyed that

Look, I know Undertaker looked like shit, but are you all really so cynical as to not be able to appreciate the fact tht he powered through a jobbed out hip to put someone over? I fucking love The Undertaker. The match sucked. But he just lost a year of his mobility to go out on his back. There is an argument to be made that if Undertaker jumped ship like everyone and their third cousin in the 90's, WWF wouldn't have been able to keep the lights on.

Dude was a consummate professional to the bone, the last bastion of the wrestling I was raised on, and I hope he enjoyed every second of that goodbye.

I certainly enjoyed how they gave us a Chokeslam, Last Ride, Tombstone and Hell's Gate. There is certainly something painful about watching a hero die in front of you, both kayfabe and real life unable to perform at their previous level. But its also captivating storytelling.

Just should've been Cena. Or maybe Styles.
