I've been having dreams about a woman I was in love with around five or so years ago. Ah, well.

 

I met someone for coffee last night. It went pretty well I think. She wants to meet up again and I hope it actually happens.

She came over last night and we put on Moana, because we're both Disney nerds. Turned into us not watching the movie at all, and it was our first time having sex with each other. It ruled.

Working just on a local amateur musical theatre show with her. We're both part of the production team, working as part of producing, staging and music. Really fun. Issue is, we're concerned being 'official' before it finishes could be viewed as unprofessional to the cast and the rest of the people involved.

I said, "you should start doing your hair and wearing makeup"...she said "I did do my hair and I put on makeup today"...I felt bad and just moonwalked away.

Honestly, go fuck yourself.

You don't need to sit there telling a girl what she needs to do to get a guy, especially by telling her to do her hair and wear makeup. It's a fucked standard, and it sucks you're sitting there causing this kind of shit to be reinforced.

The way women are taught to value the man over themselves in a relationship is so sad omg. I was talking to a divorced woman today and she is the type who thinks if you work hard enough anything can be resolved so she doesn't believe in divorce. But the more I spoke with her, the more it was clear that what she described wasn't working through anything, and she would've accommodated his behavior if he had just stayed with her. Like she was totally prepared to be unhappy and in an unequal relationship just because she took her role of wife THAT seriously even tho he clearly didn't put any stock in his role as husband. I've been there to a lesser extent and it's sad that anyone thinks that's the way they need to live.
