I love Alk3 and Skiba so no, I wouldn't. If Tom was singing generic horrible lyrics that sound like the teeny bop garbage Feldmann has produced in the past, I would call Tom out for that too.

 

It's funny that some people still use "sellout" (in all caps, even) as a swear word. Like, who gives a fuck about that kinda thing anymore?! haha. Especially when it comes to Blink, who have been making radio friendly pop/rock music with "teeny bop lyrics" for the vast majority of their career.

I remember in junior high (in 1999/2000) people saying "Blink isn't punk anymore! They're such sellouts!" - Did I go to junior high with Vegetables? PERHAPS!

 

Also, selling out is hard in this day and age with records not being the primary source of income.

 

The caps for some reason gives me the image of someone stomping their feet and whining lol.

But seriously, post couldn't be more true. Who cares? If you like the music you like it if you don't you don't. Sell out or not. And ramming your opinion down people's throats won't change that lol

Wait, someone actually called them "sell outs"? I thought that was a joke.

I can see growing out of the music, but come on. Blink wrote "All the Small Things" in 1999. One of the cheesiest, nursery rhyme pop-punk songs of all time that was a huge hit. How do you "sell out" in 2017? I think that ship has sailed...a couple of decades ago actually.

 

I'm a big fan of California and love Matt and this current incarnation. But I cant help but wonder what Blink w/ Tom would sound like in 2017. For pure nostalgia reasons I wish they never split. These guys were my teenage/high school/college years. Man I miss the good old days...fuck I'm old

As much as I love the Mark And Tom version of Blink, I also love the Mark and Matt version too. So win win I guess either way. I wouldn't erase any blink album from history really, I even have a soft spot for neighborhoods and DED(I like about 75-80% of those songs a whole bunch).

 

If mark and travis could convince tom to get a producer, a mm&t version of Blink would sound great in 2017.

 

It would sound even more like AVA featuring Mark and Travis with an occasional +44 song. Like DED.

 

You're probably both right. But it would have been fascinating to see what would have happened if they had never split in 2005 or if they got in the studio with Feldman in 2015/16 w/ Tom.
